I thought that was end of story, until now. State Farm recently contacted me letting me know that I owe them for the repairs because after reviewing the claim, they felt I was now to be at fault. First of all, according to the police report, their driver was at fault due to following to close. Second, can State Farm actually change fault after they already paid for repairs to my vehicle?

Well they've been calling and calling and I just ignored them. Now they've sent a letter saying that if I don't answer their questions in 2 days they'll just process the claim based on the available information. So can they do this cause I heard I have 1 year to pursue a lawsuit against them???? Or are they just bluffing?

I have the video of the crash which shows the other driver was 100 percent at-fault. It should be a slam dunk case. If I show this to my insurance company wil they waive my $1000 deductible?

I have started working a summer job with a catering company and got my first paycheck yesterday. Since I have a learners permit but cannot practice driving right now since mom is driving her boyfriends truck which has a stick shift, I asked mom about me helping to pay for a rental car for a few weeks so I can get some much needed practice driving. Mom says that there are no rental car companies that would allow 17 year old with a learners permit to drive under any circumstances, so there is no way I could practice driving on one if she did rent one. She doesn't see anything wrong with my sister and I being passengers in the truck. Wondering if there are any rental car companies that would allow me to drive the rental car if mom is riding in the front seat with me. Will probably offer to split the price of renting a car for a week or two if so as I really need to get some practice driving and the truck is a tight fit for my mom, sister, and I. Would appreciate any information on rental car companies that would let me drive so I can try talk mom into us renting a car. I can try to get my license in September and am really worried about not getting to practice driving to so long.

I'm 20 years old and I don't have a license or even driven a car for that matter... but it's not like I haven't tried. When I turned 16 I wanted to take my permit test but my mom kept shutting me down and saying no and getting angry. I FINALLY took it when I was 18 (and passed). In my state permits are good for two years and it recently expired without me ever using it because my mom wouldn't take me driving (you have to have 20 hours driving with a parent/legal guardian before drivers ed). I recently took the test again so I have another permit. I'm now 20 and extremely fed up that my mom still won't allow me to drive... It's really sad when my mom has to drive me to work/hang out with friends. Whenever I bring up getting my license she gets really mad at me! I think a license is a necessity for most people and I HATE not having it!

So I call him back and leave a message that he needs to contact my lawyer. Well he calls me back right away claiming that my message was garbled and only thing he heard was my name and that I obtained a lawyer. Which is most likely a lie since I didn't even leave my name. He then proceeds to ask me personal questions such as injuries, hospitals, medical record etc which I politely refuse to answer. He then says that I am required to answer them because legally I'm not represented by a lawyer until it's in their records, which sounded like a total BS so again I refused to answer. He then angrily says the claim will be delayed because I won't cooperate then hung up. So don't you think this guy was rude, dishonest and a liar?

From what I understand, my insurance company (State Farm) will pay for my repairs and then sue the uninsured driver. Is that correct? What I’d also like to know is if Uninsured moterist insurance cover a rental car until a settlement is reached. I have no other car do drive, so I have to have something to get to work in. I think that since the other lady hit my car, my insurance company should have her pay for a rental. Am I correct? I’ve never been in this situation before, and am very very new to all of this. I’ll be calling my insurance agent tomorrow, but I wanted to see if anyone here could help or tell me what to expect. Thank you!

Okay so a few months ago my father bought me a car as an early graduation gift. The car was registered in Texas (where he lives) and I then drove it to Georgia (where I live). I didn't see it as much of a problem until recently when a cop pulled me over for an unrelated issue and he mentioned to me that I needed to get my car registered in Georgia otherwise I would eventually start getting pulled over frequently for having out of state tags. Now keep in mind i'm no expert on this stuff so correct me if i'm wrong but as far as I know the only person who can get my car registered in Georgia is the owner (my father) and to do that he'd have to live here in Georgia. Please if there is any way for me to get around this so I can register the car in Georgia tell me because if i can help it i'd rather not get pulled over by law enforcement lol Also the car is being financed so I don't think he can transfer over the title to me

The damage is to the front bumper and will cost $900 but my insurance deductible is $1000. Someone pulled out from a parking space and slammed in to my car but she's blaming me so her insurance refuses to pay!
