• Will Houston run away with it again this year?

They still have arguably the best lineup in baseball and now a rotation which features Keuchel, Verlander and Cole. Team is scary good.

Have been playing baseball for 14 years. Recently i asked my friend if i should try out for catcher(currently a po). All my friends have told me that i had an amazing arm and i remembered 2 years ago when i was a catcher, throwing out runners with my arm and pitcher, striking everyone out. I guess having the advantage of being 6 3 is a good thing, but however with my school all the coaches favor the kids that had an outstanding older brother who was pretty good. Not to seem like an *** but the varsity team went 3-17 last year no joke. Currently have 2 catchers that the coach favors so i don t know if it s worth it. My own life i played catcher and pitcher but now from favortism it might ruin everything. Need some advice about this.

Best answer: Oakland moved from Kansas City after the 1967 season due to Charley Finley looking for a way out -- anywhere -- and a Missouri politician said Oakland was "the luckiest city since Hiroshima." All of this drama occurred after a bond issue was approved by voters for what became Kauffman Stadium/Royals Stadium. MLB were pressured in the U.S. Senate halls to get KC another franchise through expansion, which happened in 1969. For the Giants, Walter O'Malley found a partner in Horace Stoneham.....or....it may have been the other way 'round: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/06/24/nyregi...

Recently I suffered a knee injury that will put me out of basketball. However, I can still workout hard, run, cut, jog, jump etc so baseball (pitching) is not out of the picture. My plan is to get a pitching coach at this baseball training complex for a year and walk on to a CC next year.

I'd be OK with Happ, Almora, and Mongtomery though for Machado. but we still need more pitching. i really don't want to give up Russell. Baez maybe if we have too.

we also then would need to sign Machado to a long term deal. he's only 25, so he's in the prime of his career. we can't trade three starters, for one person, for a one year rental. it was different for Chapman, because we only traded prospects. if we can't trade then extend Machado to keep him for four or five years, don't do it.

  • Should the Cubs sign Lorenzo Cain and Greg Holland and perhaps one or two more starters?

Best answer: It;s time the cubs let Amora take over in CF and see what he can do. He's proved he's a good defender and hasn't been bad with the bat so I say no on Cain. Didn''t think Davis would get more than a year with Holland out there and given his age so I thought cubs should have resigned him 1 more year. Holland;s price tag will be higher, but cubs need a closer.

  • What is the hardest position to play in baseball?

Best answer: I would think catcher. I mean, you got baseballs coming at you, at 100 MPH......you got a guy swinging a bat, inches from your head. .........you have to maintain that uncomfortable crouched position ......and then you have to make plays, wearing all that extra gear. Doesn't seem like the fun position to play. show more
