    Best answer: The first thing you do is decide the type of essay. Is it argumentative, persuasive, personal, informative, formal, informal, etc.? Step number two is doing research on the topic. List your points and supporting details topics, sub-topics with supporting details) in point form. You may find that after doing the research you are for or against bottled water. Organise your main points with their supporting details in some type of order. This gives you organisation and coherence.
    The length of your essay will determine the points you use. As an example an essay that is 2 pages in length means you immediately get to the point whereas a 10 page essay requires more ideas with supporting details.
    It is not a good idea to begin an essay with, "In my opinion", "I think". In a well written essay the reader should be able to get your viewpoint. If you read movie or book reviews how do you know what the reviewer thinks of said movie or book?
    I have found that by doing the research on the topic, doing the outline first the essay pretty much writes itself.
    The most important thing to keep in mind is that do not expect to write your polished essay in 30 minutes.

    Best answer: No, it is impossible to memorize every mathematical answer. You are learning a process to be applied in different situations.

    Is there memorization? Sure. Anything you want to do requires some memorization. Even if you are watching a YouTube video about how to fix the screen on your phone you have to memorize that information long enough to actually do it. Some of that will go into your long term memory and if you fix a number of screens you will have memorized how to fix the screen - but you will also learn while do that of things to do, not do, how other parts are laid out and what not to touch, etc making you learn the best way to fix your phone screen.

  • For the function f(x)=e(4x)+e(−x) defined on the interval [−2,∞), find all intervals where the function is increasing and decreasing.?

    Best answer: f '(x) = 4e^(4x) - e^(-x)
    0 = 4e^(4x) - e^(-x)
    e^(-x) = 4e^(4x)
    1 = 4e^(5x)
    1/4 = e^(5x)
    ln(1/4) = 5x
    x = ln(1/4)/5 critical point
    pick a point less than ln(1/4)/5 and a point greater than ln(1/4)/5.
    ln(1/4)/5 < 0. Let x = 0
    f '(0) = 4e^(4(0)) - e^(-0)
    f '(0) = 3 > 0 so f is increasing on (ln(1/4)/5), ∞).
    -1 < ln(1/4)/5. Let x = -1.
    f '(-1/8) = 4e^(4(-1)) - e^(-(-1))
    f '(-1/8) = 4e^(-4) - e^(1) = -2.65 < 0 so f is decreasing on [-2, ln(1/4)/5).
