Yes I'm in 11th grade and there's a really awkward girl in my class. Without any doubt the most weird person I have ever seen and I wonder why she is like that. She has been in the class with me since 3 years and hasn't changed a bit since then. She doesn't talk to anyone, really never. She can't speak properly. Try to talk to her and she just looks down and mumbles some gibberish, it's so hard to understand any words. She doesn't respond when called on by a teacher. She blushes all the time for no reason. Her hands are shaking very often and she's constantly fidgeting with them. She always sits in the bathroom stall during lunch break. Also she can't look at people. If you try to look into her eyes or just her face she quickly turns her head away or looks down. Really weird hm? She also cries over trivial things quite often even though she must be like 17 already. Last week she started crying when a teacher raised his voice at her because she didn't answer and today another guy went to her desk and looked into her face on purpose to make her flinch. Everyone laughed which made her burst into tears. Why is she so weird? Do you think she is mentally ill?

I am a senior in high school. One of my teachers is currently giving me a grade of D that I think is ridiculous. There are three reasons I say this: 1)the grade does not reflect my active participation and leadership in the class. 2) Out of the 19 assignments we ve had so far this semester, 3 of the easiest assignments are worth 19 percent of the class grade. 3) Those 3 easy assignments were collected with the first 2 weeks of school. I did not turn them in, but I have them done now. Effectively, this means that my grade was doomed to be less than a B because I made a small mistake by not turning in 3 things within the first couple weeks of school. I will talk to the teacher again, but I am wondering what I can do if he doesn t let me make up my grade. Can I challenge the grade? If so, how? Can I sue?

Best answer: Thought is the natural outcome of a rational mind, and to think unavoidable, however may this not always be the case that we think and therefore act rationally. To think is also to deliberate, and thereupon to act - the fact is thought is the very first activity that leads up to action or resolve. Where thought is prerequisite as the motive for any determined action, it is useful when it takes form of reflection. If to think is unavoidable and thinking the chief determining factor as to what we do and how be perform and how we get better at doing things, then is it not better if we could think better, i.e. think through, taking into consideration all facets of a situation, all factors in cause and effect before hand and thereafter. To think critically is a way to do just that. If we are not critical in thinking, we are dumb, that, if we do not learn through experience and use thinking as our most dependable tool then we are not intelligent. The fact is we are most critical beings by nature, and most of our criticism is levelled against ourselves.

Criticism becomes insulting and harmful when it loses its objectivity, when the whole purpose of criticizing is nothing other than to denigrate, disdain, castigate, belittle, undermine and reject. I understand it is not easy to take criticism from others, but the fact is we need it, but in a way we could make good use of it, we need view and opinions of other people just as we need reflections of our own heart and mind. No one has an automatic right to criticise other. Criticism is not to be done just because it could be done regardless, is not good enough a reason. We can see this and either say, ‘you have no right to criticise me’, or, ‘thanks for your candid opinion’, I will see what I can do.

My passion is photography and videography, it’s what I dream about doing every night when I fall asleep. I have talked to my parents about taking a year off of school and doing what I wanna do like travel and take photos but they are not open to it. I talked to an advisor at my university and they said that if I were to fail this semester, I would have to withdraw from the university for a year then I would be allowed to continue my degree. I am so tempted to do this just so I can follow my dreams that my parents won’t support. What should I do

I asked a question about the age that 96WPM would be average, and someone commented "Dude, nobody gives a **** about that. my WPM is actually like 1000." (which is pretty dumb because it's obviously not 1000)
