• Why does it take so long to sign up for a medigap plan for medicare?

Best answer: You might have been better served if you'd called in September before the agent got swamped with open enrollment clients.

Premiums can go up at any time, but most will have a 6 or 12 month guarantee, and after that the increase would be once a year on your anniversary date with most.

  • Is it common for employers to not offer Short-Term Disability?

However, the HR department told met that the company doesn't have a Short-Term Disability. That's a bit odd. I know that people generally may not need Long-Term and that Short-Term would logically be used more frequently, but she referred me to "Colonial Life" that has nothing to do with the company. I thought that was kind of weird. So if I already have all of the other stuff set up and just need Short-Term Disability for myself, what's the process for that and what's a reasonable cost for it? Do I just make a payment to whatever company I get it through every month or something like that?

I have several children and grandchildren, all of whom would get 'some' but not enough to spoil their lives. I support quite a few charities so could help them more but I'd leave quite a lot in the highest interest account I could find and leave it there until I had sorted out my thoughts about this very seriously.

What I would not do is to spend, spend, spend. One reason for that would be because everyone would then guess I'd come into some money and the beggars, scroungers and 'false' friends would all crawl out of the woodwork.

In time I might do things to the house I've never been able to do e.g. a bigger, modern kitchen, new carpets and some draughty windows replaced. I'd have everything checked out such as the roof to see if anything else needed doing and then I'd settle back into an easier old age knowing that I had no money worries.

I think my co pay will be $90.00 to see a specialist, not sure what it will be, and then I fear I'll receive another bill too. How does this work? I really like to know what I have to pay, so I don't receive any surprise bills I can't pay. I hope a receptionist will tell me cash price & what it would be with my insurance. I can't get any answers from my insurance company when I call them. They don't seem to know or what to tell me. Plus long waits on the phone, and many transfers to different departments. Too stressful for me.

  • If a bank suspects you are hoarding the money you withdraw from the branch, can they charge you a fee for that?

Best answer: There is no issue with this and they wouldn't charge a fee.

However, if your withdrawals are unusual...you can bet they have notified the appropriate authorities per their legal requirements....

We discussed when I signed my lease we could have a cat if we put $200 down and pay an extra $25 in rent a month. Now it’s months later and my fiancé and I want to have a cat. Well, I asked my landlord if it’s alright and she said , “Pets are no longer accepted. The ones that already have pets are grandfathered in though.” I think this is kind of ridiculous personally. Can she just make this change with no notice?

I'm forced to pay about $12000 per year for health coverage that has a $2500 deductible. If I don't I have to pay a large fine. I have never in my life spent more than 6k in a year on health care and that year my insurance had a $6000 deductible. So, of coarse it didn't pay a penny. Due to my income I don't get any assistance with paying the 12k (because that assistance is all give to the people who arent earning it). Plus now that heath insurance is mandatory they can just charge whatever they want and I have to pay (No mater how much they're screwing me). They are taking more money from me than those welfare rats are making a year, and they get better coverage. This is taking away my right to choose. I can choose to smoke...or shoot myself in the face, but I can't choose to pay for my health care bills out of pocket. Which by the way I already am because I never exceed my deductible. I hope Trump proves to be smarter than I think
