I've worked at my job for almost five years now and was promoted to manager three years ago. I've gotten one raise the entire time I've been there because the boss rarely does reviews because she says she "doesn't have time". I just found out that all new hires are starting in making the same amount as me. Me, supposedly a manager, and I'm making the same as people who aren't even responsible for a quarter of what I do each day. My boss had said she has no problem giving me an extra dollar. But I feel like that doesn't seem like enough for all that I have to do. Should I just take the extra dollar and tell her my list of responsibilities needs to decrease or ask for more money so make up for all that I have to do?

She says she used it for food and bills. It was suppose to be for me! She told she would put some into my account once she found. Now its all gone.

There is a lot of great land in bad neighborhoods close to downtowns of cities that could be used for middle class affordable housing. What stops developers from building gated communities there? What stops them is the fact that, most often, families avoid moving to bad neighborhoods because of bad schools (and crime). If a crime issue could be solved by fencing the area (if the area is big enough to feel comfortable there), why don’t developers build schools exclusively for middle class residents that live in that apartment complex? In countries like Ukraine this is often practiced, but I never saw it in the U.S. I understand that it might be hard to convince the government to fund such school, but maybe HOA fees could fund such “private” schools?

So about a month ago my wallet was stolen with my state id, debit card, and insurance card inside it. I thought I'd go get a new instate id (moved from Texas to Washington a few months ago and hadn't gotten an instate id yet), turns out the birth certificate and social security card my grandparents handed over to me when I was 18 we're just photo copies. I called my grandparents and they don't seem to have the originals or even a verified copy. So I don't have a debit card, identification card, insurance card, social security card, or birth certificate. What am I supposed to do? Every agency I can go to has a requirement of something or other from the list that I don't have. it doesn't help that even though I've ordered a replacement debit card online twice, my bank has yet to send me one and it's been a month! I can't go in and get a temporary card cause I don't have any valid id. Please help me I don't know what to do.

  • What to do when I am currently working a minimum job but I am looking for another one?

So, I am currently working a minimum wage job but I want to find a closer one. If I were to scheduele an interview, should I mention that I can t start the job until two weeks because I have to give in my two weeks notice at another job? I feel like that soundsa bit rude in a way.

I know walking off is terrible, but how much of an impact does it have on jobs for teenagers/young adults? Cause I know a lot of teenagers quit and go through a lot of jobs? I just want a job to be able to afford living. I’m worried I won’t find anything.

I just discovered that they’re advertising my job as two full time roles, both with a higher salary than I’ve been getting. I’ve worked at the company for three years and have always worked super hard (which is proven by the fact they need two full time roles to cover my work!) so I’m feeling extremely hurt and unappreciated. I have a good relationship with my boss despite me not always agreeing with the way she treats others, and I was keen to leave gracefully and without rocking the boat, but this has really crossed the line for me and I don’t know if I should confront her about it. On one hand, there’s not really anything anyone can do to change the outcome, but on the other I also want her to know that she’s done the wrong thing and damaged a strong working relationship. What should I do?!

If the ATM was the only way to draw money, you DO realize that it would take you 250 business days to withdraw that money from a bank with a $1,000 daily limit. Right?

I'm over 18 and would like to save money in order to rent my own place. I live with my parents who are on section 8. My mom and I have worked in the past and the family's rent was jacked up too high to SAVE money. I don't expect to be on a social program AND be able to save money but I would like to move out. In order to do so I need money and a good amount of it. I would like to work full time or work two jobs but I would no longer qualify for section 8 and would get kicked out of my house and onto the streets before having enough money saved for another place. I have thought about stripping or escorting but that's really last resort and I would only do so for a short period of time just so I could move out and settle into a new place. But really that's last resort. I'm in school too. P.S The reason I want my own place is because my parents are driving me crazy.
