So I am in my second week at my new job and I love it there. I took of this past Monday for family reasons and i asked my boss this morning if i could take off tomorrow for the same reasons. I am not going to ask for anymore time off for a long while, but even though he said it should be fine to take off because we have coverage, and I told him if he's not ok with me taking off I will be in tomorrow, I still am afraid I will get in trouble or worse. It's a guilty feeling. Should I be ok to take off work or should I still go in? Any advice? I really love my job and dont want to lose it.

I have since not even had so much as a parking ticket in the last three years, but my driving record looks really bad on paper until things fall off in another 3 years. I'm about to finish my master's degree and am wondering if employers care at all about driving records if the job has nothing to do with driving?

Our company Human Resources department was informed by our Vice President yesterday Our department will be restructuring The ultimate goal is to combine all of our companies Human Resources unit functions into one single Human Resources department . To add insult to injury our department was told back in April ,our job duties are being transferred to another unit Actually split into to two other units .Our leader is reassuring us it could take another year before the transformation will be actually completed but I don’t really believe so . The new unit is being trained on everything now as we speak so why would they keep us here for another year . From what I understand consultants and project managers are being brought in to help with the process Has anyone personally gone though this type of thing Could it take a year or more we are being told or are we being lied too

I get good grades ( 3.85 gpa), as well as a 27 on my ACT, however I'm a terrible procrastinator and need to prepare myself for when I graduate. A real problem I suffer is that I don't really know myself and struggle with career planning guides. I have general interest in STEM fields, but I honestly can't make a decision on any specific career. I don't think anything in STEM sounds too bad, yet nothing truly stands out as something I enjoy. I really don't know who I am or want to be and I'm running out of time... Where do I turn?

So I've been working at home depot for over 2 and a half years. It's a part time job while I'm in college. So far the job is kind of stressful because of the amount of work and management is lazy. I'm not really in desperate need of money because I live with my parents. Only real bill i have is my car bill. What makes me want to quit is management chooses customers opinion over associates. For example I had an incident where a customer told lies to a manager about me saying something to them. Management of course believes the customer and I'm in danger of getting fired. I know my self worth and stand true to myself. But if they dont fire me should i just quit? What makes me want to stay is the availability option I have. And it works around my college classes. I just want to see someone's opinion on the matter.

Yesterday I received an offer to work as head maintenance for the callcenter. I would be responsible for so much more. But I have ZERO experience with maintenance work. The reason I m being offered the job is because my wonderful boss thinks my dedication would pay off if I go for it and learn. My nerves are in the way though. I m afraid to take that big step of responsibility just to make a fool of myself. I don t want to let anyone down. Could someone throw some words of wisdom at me. How should I approach at the Interview? I m just scared AF to move out of my comfort zone.

New position has 90 day probation period -- don't like new job -- getting let go in said probationary period via actions that are no fault of your own i.e. not fitting in learning fast enough - intentional or not : )

I'm 26 years old, single and childless, so basically there's nothing holding me back. I've saved over $100k since I started working full time after college 4 years ago. I really want to pack my bags and move back to a town I lived in for 1 year many years ago, but I don't know how to do it. I won't have a job or a place to live at first. The logical answer would be to find a job before I move, but I don't have the flexibility at my current job to take time off and fly out for interviews. I know people have moved without having a job lined up before. It's not unheard of. But how do they do it? What do I do until I find an apartment, how do I find an apartment without a job, etc.? I will award best answer to the most detailed, helpful answer. Thank you.
