We have a 23 year old autistic son and a 12 year old neurotypical son. In August we went on a family vacation with my wife's cousin and her two kids, a neurotypical 11 year old boy and a neurotypical 5 year old girl. At 6 flags, the little girl was showing a lot of attention to her 23 year old autistic cousin, because the two boys were ignoring her and being typical pre-teen boys. She asked the 23 year old to carry her on his shoulders and go on rides with him. He functions at about an 8 year old level and has no interest in women his own age or any kind of sexual activity, but now since the trip all he does is talk about the little girl and ask when he can see her again. We have visited the cousins several times since and he hangs around the little girl like a lovesick puppy. It is totally innocent, but I am afraid someone would see this and assume he is a predator. Our 12 year old says his brother's obsession with the little cousin is 'creepy'. I try to emphasize to the 23 year old that he is her adult cousin and explain to him that they are not peers, but he does not understand. Now he wants to meet the little girl's father, who is divorced from the mother. Of course we are not going to let that happen, as I am sure the father would be concerned. What would you do about this situation?

  • Why are men such a curse to this world?

All they are good at doing is doing crime, murder, rape, and being stalkers and sexual harassers towards women. I hate men because they are all evil.

Best answer: If you are in pain all the time, that needs resolution If you are less ambulatory that needs resolution.
First step, see a doctor. No reason to tell your mother it relates to a chair. Pain is the real issue.

Discuss with you doctor the purchase of a very basic manual chair to use until this is resolves, if it is resolved. Most insurances will cover a basic manual chair - they cost only a few hundred dollars.

Dependent on what your doctor finds is the cause of your pain, use the chair when you need it.

I now use a chair every waking hour. I started when I was in my 30s using one only for long distances. The stigma held me back from using it more. I ended up injuring myself very seriously and instead of having sporadic tolerable pain, had constant intolerable pain. I started to use it a bit more, still the stigma held me back. I switched to a scooter and I used it more. The pain lessened. I could do more because I wasn't exhausted all the time. I still did not use anything except possible a cane when at home and once I reached my destination. I became more and more sedentary. When I was in my mid 50s I embraced the chair finally as my source of freedom and ignored the stigma. I started to do more things. My overall health improved as I was more active. My pain lessened more.About a year ago someone suggested I'd be happier using a power chair. I said no way, i can manually propel myself fine. About 4 months ago I gave in and got a power chair. I wish I had done it sooner. I am more active than ever.

People who tell you not to use a chair do not understand they are asking you to stop living - a little or a lot. It is not an easy way out. You can still be active out of the chair - just take the chair to where you are going to be active. Using a manual chair uses a lot of arms and torso strength.

Listen to your body. A chair may just need to be temporary until they fix the cause of your pain. Or it just might save your life.

Best answer: If you are getting 1500 in benefits that means you are on SSDi and you are on Medicare. Medicare pays for home care. Sadly if you need 24 hour care your only choice might be a nursing home. I strongly suggest y9ou find a roommate who also needs 24 hour care and the two of you likely can 12 hours each - or close to it. The other solution is to get a roommate who is paid in rent and utilties. Do not give him free rents and utiltities. Establish a payment he will get and the amount he will pay. If he works all the hours - he lives there for free. But if you don't like him or he doesn't do well, you can fire him.

  • What would atheists do if Ray Comfort ask you question?

Best answer: What do you believe about God? What do you think He's like? ...

Atheists would run away - "got to go, sorry".
Ray Comfort has a fake sweet voice.
Atheists know that he's not much "comfort" to anyone.
It would be foolishness to talk to him.
