Forget anything you've seen on TV. Psych wards are actually very nice places. Most people are there between 3 to 6 weeks. Now days they almost never keep someone more then 6 weeks.

There's no "she REFUSES to get help". She needs to be in the hospital. Tell her if she won't go then you'll have to get police involved and force her to go. I don't know if the police will help you without a court order. If the police say you need a court order then you'll need to hire a lawyer. Hopefully she'll go without all that.

Just go to the emergency room.

Sometimes, with the right meds things are ok. Sometimes it's a life time of this. I hope it works out for you.

Best answer: Unless it's 75+, I am always cold. Not sure why. About 8 months of the year I watch TV wrapped in a couple of blankets with a heating pad.

Best answer: I'm glad you are getting professional help. This time of year makes things worse too. Have they tried giving you meds. If you are a teenager, then meds might not be good. Have you seen a doctor and had blood tests. Any deficiencies you might have would make you feel worse. Try to eat fairly healthy and drink plenty of fluids. Try to get enough rest. Ask your doctor about taking supplements. Maybe a multivitamin/multimineral will help. Some people are also helped by taking B complex vitamins, just don't take too many. The right amount can be helpful, but too many can make you have insomnia or other problems. I just take mine 2x a week. Also, some vitamin D might help you feel better, but check with the doctor first. If the medicine or treatment isn't helping after a month or 2, ask for something else or see a different doctor. Some exercise may help, and also helping others. Pets might also help. Prayer might be really good for you to find out what God wants for your life and to help you with your problems in life. I hope this helps and you get the help you need! I'll pray for you!

So my fiance' just obtained this new job. She's had it for three months now and has grown very fast with the company. Today she told me got a really big commission today and has gotten another raise from her boss because she's doing really well with sales in a 3 month period. We were laying in bed and I was curious on what got her her success. She told me she flirts with her clients so they will keep coming back to her. She assured me she doesn't do anything physical with them she said there's nothing wrong with making people feel a little good about themselves. I was baffled by her response, but i bit my tongue and congradulated her and let her know i was very proud of her success. However it disgusts me that these men are sleazing over her and I feel I lost a little respect for her as a person :/ How do I tell her this? or do i even tell her?

Best answer: Freedom from Self-Harm is a book by two therapists who treat self-harm and research it, Kim Gratz and Alexander Chapman.

The book is divided into 3 parts. Parts 1 and 2 are Understanding Self-Harm and How to Get Help for Self-Harm.

Part 3 is Coping Strategies for Managing Self-Harm. The chapters are

    10. Getting motivated to stop self-harm and increasing your chances of success
    11. Coping with self-harm urges
    12. Managing emotions related to self-harm
    13. Moving forward: living a life without self-harm

The authors recommend getting treatment for self-harm. However, they also say that there's a wide range of treatments. Whereas very serious cases require months of intensive therapy, many people benefit from a program called MACT, which is just a booklet and a few therapy sessions, usually two or three, sometimes just the booklet.

They say that outpatient therapy is generally better than inpatient treatment, because when the idea is learning skills for the real world it's best to learn in the real world.

Freedom from Self-Harm has been endorsed by Marsha Linehan, the psychologist who designed DBT, the one treatment shown to help with borderline personality disorder, a mental illness that has self-injurious behavior as a frequent symptom.

If you go to the Amazon and Goodreads ad for this book. you'll see that readers are very enthusiastic about it.

It always happens at about 4 AM. Each time I think I say come in but after reflecting on the experience I realize I actually didn’t and I only thought it. At first I thought it was sleep paralysis but I can move (I even got up and checked the hallway the second time). Then I thought it might be my brother but he’s asleep by 4 AM. My parents are definitely asleep and they’re room in downstairs. The only non paranormal explanation I can think of is that it might be my cat but this wasn’t scratching this was knocking!

I’m a bit of a hypochondriac so I always think there’s something wrong with me, but I’m finding it impossible to tell if I have visual snow (where you see through a kind of static filter and you can see millions of flickering dots) or if it’s just my anxiety playing up. I feel like I’ve always been able to see some kind of static in the dark but now that I’m thinking about it a lot, ive started seeing it in the day too. My mum says she sees some static when she thinks about it, but it never bothered her because she didn’t think about it. Does everyone see like this? I literally cannot tell if what I’m seeing is real. I seem to be noticing it a bit when I don’t think about it, could this be because I’ve trained my brain to realise its there? ☆ Sent from iOS Dr. Know! 1.1.03

Best answer: They have money and can spend it, that's for sure, but they both run MAJOR corporations, which is not just 1-2 days per week, not at all. Men like them like work, and that's all they know. Yes, they have wealth, but true wealthy people, and NO, I'm not talking about socialites who have generations of old money or 20-something girls who go shopping with daddy's credit, WORK HARD for what they've got, and in turn, often end up never spending their money or spending any time enjoying it and often neglect their friends and family.

With the exception of a few, how many super-wealthy people have been married more than once? A LOT. Do you often see vacation pics of them? NOPE. I highly doubt these people are any happier than the rest of us, they just have a bigger cushion to fall back on.
