For visa reasons, I can t select anywhere in Quebec, but I need to move to a city with as much of the following as possible: - Access to SkyTrain + great public transport in general (I can t drive). - Reasonable apartment rental fees (reasonable for a city) + low/average personal income tax rate) - An Indian embassy or consulate. - Weather that s not extreme in winter or summer. - Bonus: access to services, great environment (scenery, culture, diversity), things to do (museums, theater, nightlife, shopping, etc.), French-speaking I m wondering if any of the following is good considering the above: Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver Thanks in advance for any insight!

Vancouver is the third largest city in Canada and as a major Pacific ocean port, has a lot of influence from East Asia. I would check out as much ethnic food as you can handle - consult The Georgia Straight (straight.com if online) and Yelp for restaurant recommendations.

Typical touristy places in Vancouver: Stanley Park, Granville Island market, Capilano suspension bridge. Check out the Vancouver Art Gallery, the Museum of Anthropology at the University of BC, local theater, improv comedy, burlesque, and the downtown entertainment district to hop discos.

Victoria is quite sedate but beautiful in early summer, with a lot of gardens and the legislature building which is super Victorian era and a very walkable downtown - don't miss Munro Books

Nanaimo night life is...well, in my opinion it is all seedy bars, but the area is pleasant to drive around and while you're there, take a cruise to go check out the ocean life.

My family is going to Maui for Spring Break and have been trying to find restaurants to eat at for dinner. The problem is that my son is 15 and is somewhat of a picky eater. All the restaurants at our hotel have a very mature menu, usually just plates with meat and veggies which does not sit well with our son. He’s too old for the kids menus also. We have searched around the island for places to eat and have found a couple, but does anyone have any ideas of places to eat in Maui that are Authentic, somewhat fancy/sit down with a main menu that all ages can enjoy? Thanks!

  • Germany will trial free public transport in 5 cities this yr. Will this lead to less congestion, unemployed travelling all day long or utopia?

Best answer: The purpose of the trial is to find out if it will help or not. If they already knew, there would be no need for a trial.

  • "2 baggage items of 23kg" What does this mean?

I just bought two adult tickets for a flight, and on the ticket, it says; Total: 2 baggage items of 23kg That means each person has got right to carry 23 kilos of a baggage? I'm not native English speaker, so I want to make sure that I'm doing the right thing while booking
