Best answer: "Parenting" on this level was usurped by the educational system, with the government behind it, pulling the strings. Your parents were, if like most people, busy and consumed with just trying to stay afloat one day to the next, working, where taxes eat them up like a parasite.

You were not taught those things in order to make you dependent upon government. It is designed to make you a compliant little minion.

Sometimes, rarely, some people start to wake up from this induced trance. You are starting to see, but you are responding with a "conditioned response" where it was your parent's fault, especially if they have conservative leanings.

  • Is it wrong that I want to move back to Ireland when I turn 18 in year ?

Best answer: No it's not wrong. But you need to discuss it with your parents calmly.

Think carefully about all the pros and cons. Seeing your family and friends. Not seeing your parents. Where would you live? A job or uni? Who would pay for your upkeep?

We have adopted six adult dogs in the past two years that have died in the same circumstances. We adopted them all from a rescue centre and my son keeps accidentally getting them caught behind the shed door and unfortunately they have all died this way as he assures me it was an accident in every case. My son loves dogs and would not do this intentionally and is asking for a puppy now. The most recent dog we decided to take to the vet and the vet said the dog died from something else, something disgusting,( i can't exactly say because my question keeps being deleted by a moron) and more or less accused my son of doing it. How should we deal with this situation?

  • What Is Your Opinion On A Father Who Names His Daughter After A Stripper?

Best answer: It would be very weird. As if he wanted her to emulate a stripper.
I would not want to name my child a name with negative connotations.
And how did her mother feel about this?

So who decided that we were better off with a day consisting of 2 twelve hour periods, instead of 2 fifteen hour periods? (I'm only using 15 hours as an example of something else it could have been. I don't actually think that's the way it should be) Thanks!

  • How can a straight white male be woke and use his privilege correctly?

Best answer: When you’re presented with unjust situations and have the power to help the minority, use your white privilege to help them, as your word will typically be more significant than that of an African American. Let’s say you witness someone being racially discriminated against because they’re black. Speak up against the racist and establish that what they’re doing isn’t ok. This will be especially meaningful because even you, someone who is of superiority is against racist motives. I’m glad there are people like you

Best answer: In a broad sense, we can say that any assertion or claim is an opinion until verified, proven, or generally accepted. Although a negative may complicate the statement slightly, it is exactly an opposite of the positive or "yes" and thought of in the same way.
The first has more doubt by the person stating it than the second. It is easier to understand it in the positive and simpler.
    "I think that's Jake." "That's Jake."

If you asked what is the difference between:
"I don't think so. In my opinion it is not" and "I don't think so."
"I my opinion it is not." adds nothing to the communication and is unnecessary.

"I don't think so." versus "It is not." or
"I think so" versus "It is."
So, in precise terms, open to discussion/debate versus a claim/assertion

  • Why change the date, why not change the name?

Changing the name from Australia Day to Invasion Day would please everyone. The Aborigines could let loose in a sea of self-pity, the bogans could indulge in a whole day of chest-thumping and flag-waving, the inner-city bleeding hearts could spend the day doing what they like best: scolding the Anglos.
