• Im learning little by little about the stock market..curious about what's considered the minimum amount of shares that can be bought?

However, remember there is likely to be a brokerage transaction fee associated with a purchase, so if you buy 1 share for $100 and pay a $15 fee for the transaction, then you begin with a -15% net gain (and you would have... show more

  • Can I pay less than my bid on eBay?

So my friend is having an auction for something on eBay and I told him that I’d be willing to just buy it off of him for $250. He said ok, but he couldn’t end the auction without paying money. So he told me to make a $400 bid so no one would outbid me, and then he’d only make me pay $250. Is this possible?

Best answer: I agree with everybody who answered you. Ha ha ha But, I will go ahead and give you my two cents worth. You are 23 and in college. Okay, that's fine. No problem. You have worked at a shoe store for at least one full year. That is even better. You are looking good. You're building a work record that employers want to see. You are paid minimum wage. Already, you won't be able to pay rent or buy food. But, you're living at home and paying no rent and probably not paying for food? You're still looking good. The co-workers are enjoyable and some are now your closest friends. You're looking way good. Why? Because these co-workers will someday be working with you elsewhere or maybe they might be in a position of authority and be eager to hire you to work with them. They might even save you from a year or more of unemployment. So now let's look at this closely. I think that you have such peace of mind by working here and having plenty of time for your studies that you are getting a little antsy and eager for some kind of change in your regimen. If you quit this job and begin looking for another, this peace of mind is going to evaporate. Suddenly you will realize that you have barely enough time to "study." You will be flung into the void of unemployment and it will scare you. You will have lost your job and your peace of mind and the tranquility that you have right now this minute. You also will damage your work record that you have been building steadily for over a year. Now, you have dashed it to pieces. Right now, if you stay on this job you will be able to say truthfully, "I had a job all the way through college and it gave me a fabulous work record which allowed me profound prestige in order to land a beautiful job making great money when I graduated. Eventually I moved into my own apartment which was just a few blocks away from where I started my career and worked my way up to CEO of the company. So, my instincts tell me that you should find another way to appease your eagerness to find another job and put some variety in your life. You should keep your job and instead of playing with it to entertain yourself, you should instead take a quick trip on a ferry across the sound and have dinner and a movie and spend the night in a ritzy hotel and go shopping tomorrow before taking the ferry back home. You'll walk into your job with a sigh of relief and hug your co-workers and wait on your customers with a certain gusto that you have saved up on your ferry ride. In other words, just do something fun and fascinating. Keep your friends because some day they might be looking for you to join them working for an exciting company that pays $53,000 plus commissions. That is the way I see your position at this point in your life. Loved visiting with you. Bye bye.

I said well I just got a call from this number and he said "Well it wasn't me". So when I googled the number up it's for a bridge company business and it took me to the business page on facebook and I see a man and his family and the bridging company. This is a business that build bridges so at this point I know it wasn't a marketing tactic because what the hell would regular people like me would want with a bridge? Debt collectors are using random numbers to call?

If you lose some blank checks, yes someone could fake them, which is illegal. Having the dollar amounts are n both number format and written out in words makes it hard for someone to change the amount, and banks usually will not accept ones that look like they are altered. Having a signature on them makes it fairly easy to prove you were a victim of someone forging the check and banks usually will give your money back if you can show it was not your signature.

She said because I had good bone structure. I agreed to it but now I'm getting worried. Will I end up with stalkers? I walk past that salon a lot when I'm just going out to get a pint of milk, I'm worried it'll freak me and everyone else out if they see a picture of me and the real me.
