so i have a dilemma of whether to quit or just keep going i have been working on this job for about a week or so. i am waiting for my stuff in the military to go through but i dont know how long its going to take it has been a while so i am hoping it goes through soon. I honestly dont like the job, i have no dependants so i wont be ****** if i quit. And i am also thinking about resigning the job is not all that good because at the end of the day my body is aching and i am drained i wanna resign so i can go back to school full time and get a better job. this job pays above $14hr so the pays isnt that bad but that is also relative to what u are doing? I want a part-time job so it kind of gives me some free time while i go to school at the same time.

  • What do you normally do prior to an interview?

Best answer: Make sure I have copies of everything I/they need (resume, application, whatever), plan my outfit, check traffic, and make sure I arrive about 15 minutes early. I'd sit in my car, look through my phone, text my hubby, check my makeup in the mirror, then get 'er done :)

  • Choosing a new hire as a reference on your resume?

Just a simple question. My friend just got hired this week for a company and he wants me to put him as a reference on my resume. I can’t help but feel like it isn’t a good idea to put someone on a resume when they’ve only been employed at said company for literally 1-2 days. Is there validity to this or does it... show more

I was too scared to quit so I just stopped showing up and ignored their calls which I recognize was very unprofessional. That was in California years ago and now I'm in a different state and noticed the same company is hiring. Will I be able to be hired by this company again or do they have a record that I abandoned it? I've never put this job on my resume either.

I'm a uni student who will graduate in a few months. After that I will be looking for full time work in my field (IT). I am also currently working in a grocery store. The store is very well known in this country (probably #1), but the dept. I work in is quite new. All the members are only casual, except for supervisors, who have a part time position. They are short on supervisors. My own supervisors joke about me being made a supervisor. But we know I can't because you need to be available 5 days a week 35 hours a week, which I can't because I go to uni. Obviously I haven't been offered, and I'm not counting on it. But after I finish uni, I'll be available full time until I find a job. So if they DO, I am not sure if I should take it. The reason why I am thinking they might offer: - They need supervisors badly - I've been here since the beginning so I'm more experienced than most others - All my supervisors like me, I am always called in for extra shifts, rostered for many shifts, etc. - They've basically suggested it but another supervisor said I can't due to uni. So essentially it is quite clear from what they've said that they actually did consider me already but I can't do the hours right now. Once I graduate, I don't know how long it will be before I get a full time job in IT. So if they offer, should I take it? What if I do, but then get an IT job soon after?

Hello I want a good career and I like a bunch of different things, but can't decide on what I want to do with my life. I find myself being undecided on things and going back and forth. I love to give advice to people, but I can't find myself and give myself good advice. I also, need something that will support me. I was thinking of getting into jobs such as HR, Financial Advising, Real Estate, Teaching, or Career Advising. Most of these jobs have similar duties and roles. Although, I can't choose what I want to do. I'm so confused. Please give me some good feedback. I am 25 years old and just graduated with a degree in English and Business. Thank you

I have a uni interview next Wednesday. Theres no other dates available apart from that one. My mom told me not to tell work I'm going for an interview because it is a new job I've just started and she thinks they might not train me properly or cut my hours. It may seem obvious to some but I’m still on the fence, does this mean I have to do all the cleaning? (scrubbing toilets, taking out the trash etc.) or do I literally just have to check them to see if they are up to code? I’m nervous to ask the interviewer because I dont want that to hurt my chances, please let me know thank you!
