  • What is your step by step lining up process before getting down on the shot?

This wasn't something I ever really though about until recently. I always looked at object ball and put my back foot behind the cue ball. My stance really compact and uncomfortable and i tend to overcut balls.

I've read multiple things lately, some say to draw imaginary line from center of the cue ball to the ghost ball and step in on that line, I have a friend who steps on line with the part of the cue ball he wants to hit object ball, another player i know says he don't pay attention to his feet lines up his chin with the edge of the cue ball to side of object ball hes cutting.

It has got me kinda confused, at times I play really good but have constency issues looking a my whole game all over again breaking it down

  • Any advice on how to overcome these issues I have while playing in competition?

If I'm playing in tournament or playing heads up if i miss one or 2 balls I start questioning my stance, stroke etc, and only play worse. I get nervous and let snide comments get to me and sometimes just have confidence problem though I know I can play really well at times

  • Do you think the bridge arm should be straight or bend in pool/billiards?

My bridge arm is bend and sometimes i wonder if theat causes my shoulder to curl up against my neck & head

  • What could be causing this issue with my stance/alignment?

I been taking videos of my pool game lately, one thing i notice is I'm always sideways to the shot, my head, elbow, bridge are never quite in line

Sometimes I wonder if I'm lining up wrong or stepping into the shot incorrectly

When lining up line of shot i always step right behind cue ball looking at object ball step into the shot than get in my stance, a friend of mine says i should try to start lining up with part of cue ball that needs to hit object ball and that may help the issue
