I am beginning my college search and have found that some of my favorite college choices (Carnegie Mellon, UChicago, Rose-Hulman) are all very expensive. Not only that, they don't offer the best financial aid. I know schools like Princeton and Harvard are really expensive, but often offer great financial aid packages, however the chances are very slim on me getting into schools with such low acceptance rates.
I would like to major in either computer science or math. So if you could list some universities that are generous with financial aid, and good in computer science/math, I would appreciate it very much. Thank you!2 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade ago
I am testing several different types of forward swept wing. I would like to know how to measure the wing flexing on the plane since this is the main problem with a forward swept wing. This is a science fair experiment.3 AnswersEngineering1 decade ago
All you people who have no idea about rose hulman because you do no college research do not answer this question. I simply want to know how #1 in undergraduate without a doctorate measures up to all these big schools. Questions that I would like answered would be:
Pace of Learning?
Career Placement?1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)1 decade ago
What is the difference between electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, and engineering physics?
I really want to be involved in robotics, but I don't know which major to choose to go into there. As I understand it, electrical engineering is circuit boards and power. Computer engineering is electrical engineering with just a little bit of programming. Computer science is programming, but does majoring in computer science mean that I would be the one doing the artificial intelligence? When I am looking at these college websites, all the robotics is in the mechanical engineering departments. And then I was looking at engineering physics - some websites say all it is is combining multiple degrees, other websites says it is working on nanotechnology and cold fusion, some say it is working on mass particle generators.
If you know what each type of engineer does each day, what companies hire them, etc. As much or as little info is helpfu5 AnswersEngineering1 decade ago
Currently I play video games on my regular xbox, however, all the new games are coming out on the new 360, which is too expensive for me to buy. However all of those games are available on the pc. A lot of these games use a control system called WSAD. What is that? How does using the keyboard and mouse compare to using the Xbox controller? And also, is there a way to have an xbox controller hooked up to the computer?3 AnswersPC1 decade ago
