  • VISUAL BASIC - Noob Question?

    So, whenever I click a button, I want it to write to a textbox. However, everytime I use:

    Textbox1.Text = "This Text!"

    Textbox1.Text = "This text too!"

    It only prints out 'This text too!' instead of both the lines. So my question is - How do I make it so when I click a button, it writes multiple lines to a textbox?

    Best answer = 5 stars.

    I'm curious if Autozone or any other auto place will install LEDs for me? I plan on purchasing them up there, if that makes a difference. Also, they're going behind the dashboard.

  • Beginner GML (Game Maker Lang) Question!?

    So, I'm trying to make my character walk. However, whenever I release any key to make him move (whether it be W - Up, A - Left, S - Down, or D - Right) He always ends up in the CharacterUp Position?

    To be a little more clear, whenever I release a key after moving, he's in the CharUp position.

    The sprite Character is just a standing still position, not an animation.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Here is my code:

    if keyboard_check(ord('D'))

    {

    image_speed = 0.3

    sprite_index = CharRight

    x += 4

    }

    if keyboard_check(ord('A'))

    {

    image_speed = 0.3

    sprite_index = CharLeft

    x -= 4

    }

    if keyboard_check(ord('W'))

    {

    image_speed = 0.3

    sprite_index = CharUp

    y -= 4

    }

    if keyboard_check(ord('S'))

    {

    image_speed = 0.3

    sprite_index = CharDown

    y += 4

    }

    if keyboard_check(vk_up)

    {

    image_speed = 0.3

    sprite_index = CharUp

    y -= 4

    }

    if keyboard_check(vk_left)

    {

    image_speed = 0.3

    sprite_index = CharLeft

    x -= 4

    }

    if keyboard_check(vk_down)

    {

    image_speed = 0.3

    sprite_index = CharDown

    y += 4

    }

    if keyboard_check(vk_right)

    {

    image_speed = 0.3

    sprite_index = CharRight

    x += 4

    }

    if keyboard_check_released(ord('W'))

    {

    image_speed = 0.3

    sprite_index = Character

    }

    if keyboard_check_released(ord('A'))

    {

    image_speed = 0.3

    sprite_index = Character

    }

    if keyboard_check_released(ord('S'))

    {

    image_speed = 0.3

  • Python coding help? [BEGINNER]?

    Hi, I'm curious why this happens..

    When I enter my name, and my age. Everything is fine. However, when I set my passwords.. They're the EXACT same, but yet it gives me the message 'Sorry, passwords do not match...'

    Here is my code:

    import sys

    password = "Please enter your password here: "

    password2 = "Please re-enter your password here: "

    lv = "Press enter to continue..."

    print "Hello, welcome to Luke's program."

    name = raw_input("Please, Enter your name: ")

    age = raw_input("Also, How old are you: ")

    print "I see, your name is "+name+" and you're "+age

    yn = raw_input ("Is that all correct? (YES/NO)")

    if yn == "yes":

    print "Okay, Glad to see everything is correct!"

    print "Please create a password for maximum safety!"

    raw_input(password)

    raw_input(password2)

    print "Okay, your password is now set.."

    if password == password2:

    print "Good job! Everything seems fine!"

    raw_input(lv)

    sys.quit(0)

    elif password != password2:

    print "Sorry, passwords do not match..."

    raw_input(lv)

    sys.quit(0)

    if yn == "no":

    print "Sorry, try again then!"

    raw_input(lv)

    sys.quit(0)

  • PLEASE HELP - ALGEBRA 1 - PASS OR I FLUNK! D:?

    Hi! I'm really nervous because I need this test done by tomorrow and I don't know the answers to these questions!!!

    Please help. . A total of 10.

    1)Use substitution to solve this system.

    y = 2 – 3x

    6x + 2y = 7

    2)The length of a rectangular piece of box is 4 feet more than the width. The perimeter of the box is 24 feet. Write the equation used to find the perimeter, P, of a rectangle.

    3)Graph 2x – 3y = – 4 and 2x + 5y = 12 on the same set of coordinate axes. Label each graph. What is the solution of this system?

    4)Graph 2x – 3y > – 4 and 2x + 5y ≤ 12 on the same set of coordinate axes. (See Problem 1.) Label each graph. What is not the solution of this system?

    5)The length of a rectangular piece of box is 4 feet more than the width. The perimeter of the box is 24 feet. What is the width of the box?

    6)The length of a rectangular piece of box is 4 feet more than the width. The perimeter of the box is 24 feet. What is the length of the box?

    7)The length of a rectangular piece of box is 4 feet more than the width. The perimeter of the box is 24 feet. Write an equation to solve the problem using substitution.

    8)Without solving, describe the solution set for this system.

    x + 2y = 3

    –x

    – 2y = 5

    9)Use linear combination to solve this system.

    3x

    – y = 11

    2x + 5y

    = –4

    10)The length of a rectangular piece of box is 4 feet more than the width. The perimeter of the box is 24 feet. Write an equation that represents the relationship of the length, l, and the width, w, of the rectangle.

    Please and thank you! :)

    #1)The length of a lot is 25 feet less than twice the width. Let w equal width. Write an expression for the length of the lot.

    #2)What is the sum of any nonzero number and its opposite, or additive inverse? Is it positive or negative?!?

    #3)This formula is used to compute interest.

    I = prt, where I = interest, p

    = principal, r = interest rate (percent), and t = time (in years).

    Evaluate the formula for $525 borrowed at 12 percent for 3 months. (Remember to change 3 months to a fraction of a year.)

    #4)Simplify the algebraic expression by combining any like terms.

    8a + 4(3 – 2a)

    #5)Find the value of each expression for x = 3, y = –2, and z

    (x + y)2 – 2z2

    #6) Simplify the algebraic expression by combining any like terms.
