If God created Adam and then decided it is not good for man to be alone, would that mean he did not intend to create eve from beginning?
And if he did not intend to create eve, he also had no intention to create mankind?
I just thought of this and couldnt come up with answer to myself on the spot, so wondering if any christians have any thoughts? It does seem odd he would create an organism that has no ability to procreate first, like not even asexual reproduction11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality4 weeks ago
When will blacks learn that their actions matter? Looting, killing, screaming does not bring justice, resisting, punching, spitting on cops?
will not bring justice and just makes cops hate you more? I hate seeing all these blacks being compared to white school shooters, they gave up peacefully, cops dont punch people who give up peacefully, but yet every video of a black dying is resisting everything no matter what, they are like animals blind with rage, learn that your actions give you respect, you are not owed itPolitics4 months ago

"First Church of Christ"
my assumption is that maybe they were the first established churches of those regions15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 months ago

Atheist here looking for a Christian perspective. I see a lot of Christians posting online about how their happy family is proof of a loving?
God. How God gave them a gift, God loves them and makes their lives better because of their faith. As an atheist, this seems very arrogant to me, considering children are born every day suffering, starving, disease riddled. I am willing to be wrong, but right now it almost angers me, like I want to shake those people that think their God is singling them out for a happy life. What do you make of this phenomenon among religious especially Christians? Am I just nitpicking over people giving thanks?8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 months ago

Why did God see it fit for humans to be his vice-regents given that an omniscient God would know that they’d screw it up?
The most common answer I get is, I don't know but I still have enough faith to trust God. Or, just be appreciative that God gave us life.
Those answers are always satisfying to a Christian, but not to me and was wondering if anyone has a better answer or can expand on the "I don't know, but..."12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 months ago
I don't think any human can truly consent to hell just like I don't think any child can truly consent to sexual activity with an adult. Just as young children lack the ability to grasp what it means to consent to sexual activity, finite humans are unable to sufficiently comprehend what eternal punishment entails to meaningfully consent to it.
Looking for someone to change my mind12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 months ago
To theists and atheists, do you ever ask yourself "What if I'm wrong?" If so, what is your answer to yourself and how do you get there?
This isn't an attack, or a gotcha question. As an atheist, I ask myself if I am wrong every day, and I probably am wrong about a million things at once, it is common in life to be wrong, and so it does not bother me, being wrong seems normal for a human24 AnswersReligion & Spirituality11 months ago
Was there a retirement plan for old slaves in America? Ones who reached an age where they could not work, crippled?
follow up: how often did slaves reach an age old enough to not work?7 AnswersHistory11 months ago
Why do Christians typically focus on the negatives in people? Like when talking about sin, Christians usually ask me if I have ever lied?
of course I have told lies, so they say I am a liar, a sinner, on a path to hell. But why do the few lies define me? I have told the truth vastly more than I have lied so I define myself as a truth teller. I also have cared for lots of people so I am a caring person. But why am I still evil because I have lusted when I was a teenager/early 20s, told lies? Why do they make a bigger mark on me than the good things?14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality11 months ago
I recently asked my mom if God is unable to stop child abuse/rape or allows it to happen? She responded with "God allows sin to enter through freewill" So I took that as God is unwilling to stop and allows child abuse/rape7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality11 months ago
Why is it necessary that God requires some kind of blood atonement for sins? Why did Jews need to kill animals, why did God need to come?

Is Deuteronomy 22: 13-30 inspired by God or is this the part of the Bible that man had more control over when writing?
It would seem that a God would understand not all women bleed when losing their virginity, but the passage says if a woman is accused, "tokens of virginity" must be seen on the cloth where the husband and wife laid together, and if they are not seen, she shall be stoned on her fathers door step. God should know about anatomy?
"20 But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:
21 Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you."7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 year ago
I own a 2.5 yr old rat terrior, I do take him on 2 walks a day, and he always does very well, never pulling on the leash too much. But sometimes I only have time to take him out to the front yard, and my neighbors on both sides do not like dogs, and the road in front is busy and dangerous, but my dog always lunges or runs to those areas with so much force that the collar chokes him and he spends a minute gagging, then lunges again and gags on the collar over and over, Im worried he will get hurt
how do I get my dog to want to stay in this small area, my yard, I notice other dogs in the area stay on their land only with no leash14 AnswersDogs1 year ago
Is neutering your new dog after just 1 day of having him in your house putting too much stress on the dog?
My girlfriend went ahead and made an appointment for the next morning at 7:30 am, we have only had this little fella for whole 24 hours as of now. He was an outside dog for his 1.5 years but the owners wanted to give him to a home that could give him lots of attention, he is still a little skittish so I wonder if a surgery and transition will be too much to handle at one time6 AnswersDogs1 year ago
