  • Well water stopped working, but then started working again...?

Out of nowhere, my water quit when about 30 minutes ago was working just fine.  All sinks, bathtub, hot or cold, ect.  (the toilet would still flush.

I checked all the circuit breakers; none of them were tripped.  I went outside to look for my water pump but couldn’t find it (I’m renting).  I thought I’d try turning on my spicket and water came out.  I then went back inside to check, and all of the water was inexplicably working again.

There are countless articles online about well water suddenly stop working, but none of them mention the water coming back on.  I should mention it wasn’t a power outage; the electricity still worked.  Does anyone know what could have caused this?

  • 2020 Camry transmission problems?

I read a lot of complaints about the 2018 Toyota Camrys having problems with the (then) new 8 speed transmission such as rough shifting, the transmission hunting for gears, and lag when starting from a complete stop.  I’ve also read about the transmission going out completely.

Are any of the 2020 Camrys having problems, or has it been resolved?  It seems like all the negative reviews are for the 2018 and early 2019 models.  Maybe this is another cliche case of “don’t buy a vehicle right after they’ve changed technology” deal.

Would a 2020 Camry last for 20+ years/300k+ miles like all Toyota’s are traditionally known

  • Costs of seeing a foot doctor about plantar fasciitis?

At my previous job, I would walk 15-20k steps daily, and I made the mistake of not replacing my shoes when should.  I left 2 months ago and have took it easy and rested my feet.

Now, one foot is fine but I still have trouble with the other foot.  If I stand or walk for more than 5 minutes, my foot, knee and hamstring get sore.  It goes away with rest.  I’m not sure if it’s plantar fasciitis or a stress fracture.

Although I have money saved up, I am still unemployed with no insurance.  About how much can I expect to pay to see a foot doctor?  Also how much would an X-ray or special shoe be?  (Naturally, surgery would be astronomical).

  • Question about apprenticeship at JEA Jacksonville?

I applied for an apprenticeship In wastewater at J-ville Electric earlier in March, but they postponed the physical abilities test due to C-19.

If I already possess a commercial drivers license (Class A), do I stand a much better chance of getting hired on?  (obtaining a CDL is mandatory 6 months after employment).

It’s worth the wait if I thought I would get hired, but I don’t want to wait only for me to not get selected when the time comes.  I’m tempted to find something else.

  • Is the Honda Civic Sedan LX trim available with 6 speed manual transmission?

According to Honda’s website, the 2020 Civic Sedan only comes with the manual transmission on the Sport trim, whereas the CVT is standard on the base LX trim.  However, I have seen some 2020 LX Sedan on some dealer websites, so does anyone know why Honda doesn’t have it as an available option on their website?

  • Are the push/start buttons on Honda’s reliable?

I’ve been wanting to buy a new Honda Civic sedan, but in order to get the color I want, I’d need to buy the Sport trim, which is a step up from the LX (base) trim.  The LX has the traditional key start system, but only comes in four colors (with the 6 speed transmission).

Whichever car I get, I want it to last for decades/hundreds of thousands of miles.  Do you believe the push start button would go that long trouble-free?  Because I plan to keep the vehicle so long, I’d like to get the color I desire, but don’t want to have problems later.  Any advice?

  • 2019 Civic "below average predicted reliability"?

I ve been thinking of purchasing a New Civic (either the LX or Sport trim with 2.0L engine and 6-speed transmission), and want a vehicle that will last for decades/hundreds of thousands of miles.

However, according to, the Civic has a "below average reliability rating" of 2.5 out of 5. Here s the link: The website doesn t say exactly what it is about the Civic that is unreliable. Does anyone know any details of why the new Civic has received such a low reliability rating?

  • Would it be safe to buy a 2020 Corolla with the 2.0L engine?

I’ve always heard that whenever an automaker comes out with something new, it’s best to wait a few years until the manufacturers ‘work out the bugs’ so to speak (the CVT transmission would be a good example; also 8 speed transmissions in the 18-19 Camrys).

Toyota started installing the 2.0L in the Hatchback Corolla in 2019, and started putting them in the normal Corollas as of 2020, whereas they’ve had the 1.8L for years. The model Corolla I want to buy would have the 2.0L (SE with 6 speed manual). Would this be a car that would last a long time, or would it be best to wait another year or two?

  • How much can you sell a kit-built aircraft for?

If an experimental aircraft kit cost $50,000 (including avionics and powerplant), can I expect a slightly used one (one that has already been built) to cost not much more than the kit would cost?

It seems like if you could invest $50k in a kit and then sell it for $70k, you could turn a profit. I’m not sure if this is how experimental kit aircraft work?

  • Can you clean a built-in fuel filter for Toyota Camry?

My 2002 Toyota Camry idles low and vibrates, especially when in gear or with the A/C on. Although the motor runs and accelerates good, I notice a slight struggle when accelerating hard or going up a steep incline.

I’ve read this could be due to either a dirty throttle body or fuel filter. The problem is, the fuel filter is permanently built into the fuel tank. Is there any way to clean it, other than replacing the fuel tank or the vehicle itself?

(Age could also be the problem, as it has 296k miles).

  • Are there power lineman seminars I can attend?

I think I’d like to pursue a career as a power lineman, but I’m sure if I’d be cut out for it.

Do they have seminars or labs that last for a few days that would allow some to climb a pole a few times to get a taste of what it’s like? I’d rather not quit my current job, and get employed as an apprentice or sign up for a 15 week lineman college only to climb a pole and discover it’s not for me.

  • Substation Technician apprenticeship questions?

I've submitted an application to an Electric Power Company for a job as a Substation Technician Apprentice. The requirements of the job are to have a valid driver's license, a high school diploma, and be able to possess a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tankers endorsement within 60 days of employment (I already have CDLs and I am close to testing for the endorsements).

Basically, no electrical knowledge is required (that's why it's an apprenticeship haha). Nevertheless, I was wondering, are there any materials I could study up on in advance, so that when/if I am hired on and begin to receive training, it's not so much of a cram session. The more familiar I am with the criteria I am learning, the easier it would be. Any advice?

Also, they've stated that there will be a physical abilities test associated with the job title, but they have not stated what those tests will be. I'm sure they will email the description of the abilities tests eventually. However, the closing date to apply is not until March 31st 2019, so I'd like to get a headstart in preparing.

There was one website I went to that stated their applicants would have to do a Lift & Carry (where you pick up weighted cartons, carry them a short distance, and set them down), do a Raise & Lower (you pull on a rope to raise a weighted bucket to 25 feet), and Raise & Hold Hot Stick (you hold a hot stick up for a certain amount of time). It could be that different companies have different tests.

  • Song with a chimp noise?

Last July (of 2017), I was driving through Ohio and there was a song that came on the radio in which part of the vocals sounded similar to a chimp. Also, right before the song came on, I heard the DJ mention "the chimp" something. I don't know if she was describing the name of the song, the band, etc.

I couldn't catch any of the lyrics, and the song may not have been about chimps at all. I've googled and youtubed 'chimp songs', and 'songs with chimp noises' and haven't found this song. As far as the genre goes, I believe I was listening to a Classic Hits station, though it could have been Hiphop and R&B. Does anyone have a clue as to what the name of this song may be?

I mentioned that I was in Ohio because maybe this song is popular there (whenever I travel out of state, I hear lots of songs that I've never heard in my life in my home state). thanks!

  • Prayers to NOT have children?

When it comes to people wanting to conceive children, you often hear about them praying to God that they will get pregnant. But when it comes to those practicing birth control, you don't really hear anything about prayers to not have children.

As a Christian, if I pray to God to be able to have relations with my wife but not ever have any children, would He answer this prayer? He does have to ability to open and close the womb, so no doubt He is capable of doing this. The question is, will He?

For the record, I'm not praying this so I can have sex before or outside of marriage without conceiving a child out of wedlock. I simply don't want to have children.

  • Is a paralyzed pokemon easier to catch than a poisoned one?

When it comes to catching a pokemon and decreasing their chances of busting out of the pokeball, do some status conditions make them easier to catch than others?

It seems like a paralyzed or frozen pokemon would be more likely to stay in a pokeball versus a poisoned or burned one. However, I don't know the technical mechanic of how this works. Does anyone know?

(I realize it's not a good idea to use poison or burn as a status condition, as they may faint before you can catch them. Again, I'm talking about increasing their catch rate in battle).

  • Transferring pokemon from Red/Blue to Sun/Moon? What does this mean for their stats?

The stats for pokemon in the 1st and 2nd generations were very different from the stats in 3rd gen onward. The stat base was different, not to mention there were no natures. If we're able to transfer pokemon from the first 2 generations in addition to transferring them from the current generations, what will this mean for their stats? Will pokemon from the first 2 gens have a nature? Will their stats be changed or reorganized? Will those pokemon be given a nature?

  • Can I lose my CDL if my D.O.T. medical card expires (even if I m not driving a CMV)?

I m not currently driving a truck, so I ve let my medical card expire. However, I want to keep my CDLs, as I plan to return to the trucking industry in the future.

Provided that I pass a D.O.T. physical and get a new med. card, will the DMV station not give me any trouble?

Some people are saying that a person can lose their commercial driving priveleges and have to take another road test if they let their medical stay expired for too long? Is this true?

(My medical card actually expired today, so I can get it renewed next week if necessary).

  • Can there be mild pain associated witih pink eye?

During the past 2 to 3 days, my left eye has been pink on one side, and there is mild pain every time I blink. It's not unbearable or intolerable by any means, and as I said, it only hurts when I blink.

There is no pus discharge whatsoever (no tendency for my eyelid to stick shut after sleep), and occasionally both the infected eye and good eye will itch but it's not constant. My vision is also not affected.

Could this be pink eye even though there's no pus or water discharge?
