I’m moving to California from Wisconsin and could not be happier. Other people though, are definitely not happy for me. I don’t know why, but they give me a very hard time. I’m not unstable, I have a good head on my shoulders, I’m not unprepared, I know where I’m going. Their comments are meaningless. How do I focus on my life without their dramatic saga?Mental Health1 week ago
I contacted a company I was interested in working for, and answered all of their interview questions “virtually.” I received an email back that went on and on about the owners success and money and all of his accomplishments. I replied back that they were impressive and that I’m interested in working for the company. I’d like to know if an opportunity is available.
Why the bragging? I don’t care. I want to work.4 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment2 weeks ago
I think it’s time to leave my current state and move to San Francisco. No, I’m not a troll. No, I’m not broke. Yes, I have an education, and yes, I do know it’s expensive.
I’m not out to impress anyone, but everyone I talk to says it’s too expensive, and how I won’t make it, how I’m early in my career and people who are actually experienced only go out there, and a bunch of really stupid things. Like, what about all of the students? I have friends who have moved out there for internships and have come back. Why can’t I?
I applied for an internal transfer thru the company I work for and I’m really interested in the experience. All I need is a small apartment and a cat. Why is that so offensive?5 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender3 weeks ago
This virus is making me nuts. I’m losing it.
It’s affecting me, I don’t like it, and on top of it, it’s bothering others too, so then they bother me.
I’m so angry I could scream.
Strategies for coping are needed below.

I work really really hard (just like a lot of people), but I’m given a hard time for it. How do I deal?
These are difficult times for many, including myself, so please understand I’m not asking for sympathy or making fun of the situation.1 AnswerSingles & Dating3 months ago

I feel like people are spending time posing for pictures, or taking selfies, while I’m working my a$$ off and getting put upon for my work ethic. I had a guy friend who took time to pose in front of a bunch of chickens for 50 likes.
I have 3 jobs and am making some pretty great money, but plenty of people are still doing better.

I’m gainfully employed, but I’m still applying for jobs to build my resume, skill set, etc. and I’m shocked at the number of applicants there are for degree-required, experience-needed, not walk-in-the-door-get-hired-off-the-street-jobs. I’m very shocked. Like 22 applicants in 48 hours? Is this real?
I missed a call from a recruiter for remote work, that I don’t necessarily need, and can’t get a return call.

As I get older, and perhaps wiser (I hope), I see people becoming more obsessed with job titles, rather than the actual work. Maybe I’m just not with the times, but like buying a car, having a home, having kids, etc. takes a lot of work. A lot of work and perseverance. I’m buying a car this fall, and I didn’t wake up one day and say, “I’m gonna but a car.” It took a lot of work and saving.

I’m becoming very angry.
The year after I graduated high school the economy went into a recession, and after I graduated college finding work wasn’t that easy, either. When it did get better I was fine, but not for long, because of this virus situation.
I’m fuming. This whole thing is a nightmare. Regardless if the shutdown was imposed or not, it’s going to take years to recover.
I’m just very angry. Life is tough enough.3 AnswersPsychology5 months ago
It’s been almost a year since I took it for financial reasons. It provided an extra source of money, etc.
Lot’s of people quit, all the time for various reasons: they dislike it, it’s not for them, and after only 2 days.
If I stay, and I kind of need to, will it be worth it?
If so many people come and go, what am I worth?
I’d like stick it out. I think I’ll be okay. Any advice is appreciated.1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment5 months ago
There are people, and things in my life that I admire or wish to strive for and be like because of good qualities or character, not creepiness. Like my dance coach in 8th grade, or a co-worker of mine, etc.
Is this normal to do? I’m in my 30’s, and I still find them. It helps keep me going.2 AnswersPsychology5 months ago
