Watch the weekly game on TSN of the AFL. I love watching Aussie Rules but for the life of me I cannot figure out how teams play or if they have any style at all? For example, is one team in the AFL known as a more attacking side? Is another noted for its defensive prowess?
Visually, a great sport to watch but not having grown up with it, hard to penetrate the nuances.4 AnswersAustralian Rules9 years ago
Not sure if it was in the '70s or '80s but I thought they were relegated due to some financial scandal when Gianni Rivera was in their front office trying to save the club.2 AnswersItalian Football (Soccer)1 decade ago
Love the AFL, as well as our kind of football over here (forget the manly man insults...each "code" is great in its own way), so given that AFL rules in Australia, is the talk of the Socceroos starting a soccer boom hype?
I do know when Canada went to the WC in 1986, we could care less. After all, Canada is, and always will be, a (as in "ice" to you) hockey nation.9 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade ago
Do not tell me about tours, corporate stuff, ticketmaster etc. I understand all that and have researched it all. What I need to know is practical info from someone, preferably who has done this so possibly a native NYer, on the availability on the day of getting tix right there at the Nat'l Tennis Center box office which opens up every day in the morning. I don't care where I sit/stand. I'm not some rich, moneybags dude but just a working class stiff so that's where I'm coming from.1 AnswerTennis1 decade ago
