Im looking into re-creating this dress:
However, I was hoping to instead of having a thick black fabric, using a sheer black fabric with white dots, and green underneath as a base. I’ve been told that organdy might be the right kind of fabric for the sheer black, but I can’t seem to find any in large amounts. I also have not found any luck in black fabric with white polka dots/splotches.
Any assistance with a suggested type of fabric or a link to good fabric for this project would be wonderful.

So Im going to comiccon and I want to bring a wooden practice katana. I read through the rules about weapons which are:
Please read this entire policy before attending New York Comic Con. Failure to follow this policy may result in your removal from the convention without refund.
The following items are forbidden at New York Comic Con:
If you're bringing, buying or selling something that could maim, damage or cause serious bodily harm, we're going to take issue. The following items are forbidden at NYCC:
Functional firearms (including air soft guns, BB guns, cap guns, paintball guns and pellet guns)
Realistic replica firearms (including reproduction, fake or toy guns that can be confused for functional firearms)
Functional projectile weapons (including blow guns, crossbows, long bows, silly string, slingshots, water balloons and water guns)
Sharpened metal-bladed weapons (including axes, daggers, hatches, knives, kunai, shuriken, swords, sword canes and switch blades)
Explosives (including firecrackers and fireworks)
Chemical weapons (including mace and pepper spray)
Blunt weapons (including brass knuckles, clubs and nunchaku)
Hard prop weapons (including props made of metal, fiberglass and glass)
Instruments that cause excessive noise levels like vuvuzelas, grenade whistles and grenade horns
Prop weapons will be allowed providing they are composed of cardboard, foam, wood or other light materials. Prop firearms are allowed only if they cannot be mistaken for real weapons. The barrel of all prop firearms
must be covered with brightly-colored caps. Prop bows will be allowed providing all arrows have soft tips.
Basically, don't be an idiot.”
but I am not quite sure if a wooden practice katana would be allowed.
that is the katana I would be getting if it helps.

I need some suggestions on what to buy him. I am looking for a new series to give him as all of the other ones he has are either finished or are not out with a new book yet.
Manga he has read & liked:
If you know any manga which are like this, or would relate to his interests, please leave them below, preferably with a small summary of the plot so it is easier for me to pick out which ones I think he will like

So it was a girl, and i think it was like around the 20s, 30s or so, but basically she made a name for herself by acting as an insane person and being sent to an asylum so that when she came home she could write about it
any ideas? if u do know, and know of a biography/book about her, feel free to mention the title

okay, so excuse me for what is probably a stupid question, but when you are asking a question in japanese and use か at the end of the question, is there a kanji for that? i only ask because i just recently found out how to type in hiragana on my mac and every time i try to write a question, the computer auto kanjis it to 可. i mean i didnt learn anything about that in school, but i did have an incompetent teacher so i wouldnt be surprised if he didnt teach this. but thanks for the help3 AnswersLanguages9 years ago

just curious. for me, when i was 12 i had this strange fascination with the Winx Club so i started watching the whole series on youtube, and of course in the youtube sidebar i saw something that looked suspiciously like the power puff girls only "japanese-afyed" which brought me to watching my first subtitled cartoon power puff girls Z (I know, fantastic first taste) from there i watched tokyo mew mew and then finaly got to Fullmetal Alchemist and i finaly understood the amazingness of anime
so entice me, tell me your story if you want :P29 AnswersComics & Animation10 years ago
k so i currently have no life and need something to pass the time.
anime/manga i have read and liked, so you get a good idea:
Full metal Alchemist
Mahou Sensei Negima
Ouran Highschool Host Club
Shakigan No Shana
I like animes with good, interesting plots, and where the main character has a secret they have to protect, like ohhc or DN Angel.
Also, I prefer 1 or 2 titles with summaries to a long list of random titles that mean nothing to me.
