  • Is it too early to take a pregnancy test? ?

Roughly 2 1/2 weeks ago I took a plan B pill after I had sex without a condom, despite being on birth control. (The reason I did this was because I had only been taking my birth control for 4 days before this night of "unprotected" sex).

For the past 2 days I've been spotting really light blood which for any other woman could be an indication that her period would be starting, but in my case I have never started my period off like this. My periods always start off ridiculously heavy (this includes the time I was taking birth control a few years ago).

My spotting has been extremely light and the blood is a baby/fair pink. I also had some abdominal cramps right above my pubic area.

I know it's most likely spotting from the plan B I took 2 weeks ago, but I'm getting worried about this entire situation. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it came back negative, which I was temporarily relieved about, because I quickly realised that it's really only been two weeks and it might be appearing as negative because my HCG levels are still too low to be detected....

Any advice? I feel helpless... >.<

  • If donated blood is screened, why are there so many restrictions?

I recently got a tattoo and a piercing and was looking to donate blood at my local blood donation centre. I was advised that I'd have to wait 3 months before being eligible to donate my blood, but I wondered why?

If all blood that is donated is screened thoroughly for any and all diseases/anything transferable, why are there so many restrictions on who can donate it?

I understand the risks that my blood could possibly be contaminated due to the piercings/tattoo I got, but what if I'm clean and they're just refusing my blood for literally no reason? It's going to get screened regardless if I'm clean or not....

I really don't understand. Can someone explain

  • Do guys flirt unintentionally?

This guy I've been talking to made it clear to me that he wasn't interested in me romantically, yet he still sends me flirtatious texts. I wonder if he's doing this on purpose or unintentionally.. either way I think it's best for my sake that I slowly stop talking to him completely to avoid getting hurt.

What might these spots on my skin be?

    Hello all,

last month I noticed I was becoming very itchy all over my body, and simply brushed it off as we are in the Winter season, and our skin naturally becomes dry in the cold. I became concerned when I started noticing these spots on my body (a couple on my legs, arms, chest and one on my face). Those eventually went away along with the itch after about 1-2 weeks. I was contemplating going to my family doctor during those 2 weeks to get these spots assessed, but I recently started a new job and didn't want to take any time off during the weekday which is when their clinic is open).

The spots shown in the photo have been on my body since, and the larger one is only getting bigger since I've last noticed it. It's hardly itchy, but I'm becoming concerned as I'm completely clueless to what it could mean. (Please excuse the vein on my chest, and disregard the v shaped scar on my neck, it is from a surgery and has nothing to do with the spots). I'm going to a walk in clinic over the weekend, but would like to know if there's someone who has any idea what this could possibly be, just to put my mind hopefully at ease for the time being.

    Thanks for your help :)

  • Is it safe to use hair removal cream in the pubic area?

I don't like the stubble that comes with shaving, and I'm hoping that using hair removal cream will minimize the stubble but a couple of days. Does anyone know if it's safe to do so? I am a female.

  • How can I fix my dark under-eyes?

I have had dark under eye circles for as long as I can remember. I have tried absolutely everything. From potato slices, to lemon, baking soda, etc. I just haven't tried anything surgical or injections and such.

Is anyone facing the same problem? Could you help me out? I don't want to have to wear concealer for the rest of my life to feel comfortable in my own skin.
