  • do you think making a teenager write lines is a childish and waste of time punishment ?

last night i came home late and had a row with my parents and ended up swearing at my mum, this morning she gave me a lecture and said she is NOT going to tolerate such disrespect and bad behavour, she told my my punishment is to write out 500 times, I WILL NOT SWEAR AT MY PARENTS AND WILL SHOW THEM RESPECT, my parents said i will not be allowed out of the house until the lines have been completed,it is going to take ages, i think its too childish a punishment and VERY VERY boring

  • my mum says schools need to have harsh school punishments to work effectively do you agree with her ?

the reason i ask is yesterday i was punished with a 4 hour saturday detention as a punishment for getting 3 detentions in a term, we had to wear full school uniform and sit at desks in TOTAL silence and write punishment essays, it was very unplesent, in all thre were 15 of us in saterday detention all of us being punished for different reasons, the thing was my saterday detention was only half a day some were there for the full day until 5pm, at 12.30 around half of us were free to go the look of sadness on those students who couldnt leave but had to stay until 5pm they were VERY misreable when i spoke to my mum about i said is it right a school can take away a childs freedom like this ? she said school years are the most important as they set us up for life and education is VERY important and schools MUST have disipline and harsh school punishments for those that misbehave or break the rules, she said only rule breakers have to worry about saturday detentions the vast majority of the school dont, do you agree with my mum ?

  • do you think my teacher should have let me off because of the exceptional circumstancies ?

our school has a very strict detention policy if you get 3 detentions in a term you automaticaly get a 4 hour Saturday detention, i have had 2 detentions already this term, anyway i kept messing around in my maths lesson my teacher gave me 3 warnings to behave or i would be punished with a regular detention, i ignored her and continued to mess about, she then gave me a detention, it was after the lesson i relised this was my 3rd detention and would now get a Saturday detention, i ran up to my teacher and said how sorry i was for my poor behavour and please please would she let me off the detention otherwise i would have to serve a 4 hour Saturday detention, she refused saying i had plenty of warnings to behave but ignored her she said the punishment stands detention 1 and a half hours Friday night, this morning i was up at 8am eating breakfast in my FULL school uniform then my mum drove me to school for Saturday detention, we were all given work to do i had to write a 6 page essay on school rules

it was a MISREABLE punishment, do you think my teacher should have let me off?

  • do you think i deserve sympathy for having to suffer such a harsh school punishment ?

this morning i sat at the breakfast table in my school uniform crying because i had a 4 hour saturday detention, my mum was angry with me and drove me to school and escorted me to the detention room, we all had to write essays on why we wre being punished my offence, our school has a strict detention policy that says if you get 3 detentions in a term you automaticaly go into a saturday detention, i had already got 2 detentions this term, on wednesday i kept messing around in class my teacher gave me 3 warnings saying that unless i behaved i would be punished with a detention i carried on messing about so she put me into detention, i had forgotten about the 3 detention rule and my head of year gave me a 4 hour saturday detention i pleaded saying i had forgot about the rule and could i please be given another chance, she refused saying the punishment stands and i will have to serve a saturday detention, i have got back from detention and it was MISREABLE the detention room has isolation booths which means there are wooden panels that seperate the students so we cant see or speak to each other, both my mum and sister said i got what i deserved what do you think ?
