  • Transferred money not showing up!!?

I have 2 accounts, one is a new account. I transferred money from one account to another. The account number and sort code are definitely correct. When it said to put in payee name I just put in a nick name. Will that effect the transaction?? Because the money hasn't shown up yet on the account I transferred it to!

Can you read this paragraph and tell me what it means? There's a lot of big words in it and I generally don't understand any of it. thanks!! Mill's colonial romance chartered a story of unfolding enlightenment, in which a vanguard of far-sighted "philosophical legislators" transcended a reactionary past, opening up new vistas of human possibility. It was an optimistic story, untroubled by misgivings or doubt. Melancholic colonialism, in contrast, was marked by anxiety, even despondency, about the direction of (colonial) history, but it ultimately refused to reject the ideal, suggesting that the worst excesses could be mitigated, if not eradicated entirely. The transition occurred in the last decade of mill's life, and was engendered above all by his increased awareness of the pathologies of colonialism, and especially the prevalence of settler violence. It signals an important shift in the way in which he conceived of the ethico-political potential of colonization.'

  • Is my belly piercing being rejected?

Hi, I've had my belly pierced for 2 weeks now. The skin around my belly piercing has gone a bit pinky purple. But my piercing doesn't hurt. Even when it touches my clothes or when I clean it, it doesn't hurt. Does the pinky purple skin mean that my body is starting to reject the pierced jewellery??

Hi, this is a question that's literally taken over my life for the past few days. my story cut short: I did my gcse's, went to college but failed my A-levels. I'm now doing an access course to get me into university. I told myself that I wouldn't fail this course like my a-levels. Turns out I am failing. I hate doing homework. just the thought of doing it stresses me out. I like learning but I hate writing essays. I understand how I'm so lucky to even have an education unlike others in the world but I feel like I'm being forced to do something I don't want to do. I don't want to study, I don't want to do exams but beyond that I don't know what else I want to do. I've been in education since I was 5 years old so after I failed my A-levels I took a gap year I felt so lost. because I was use to the school life. Did I do an access course just to feel not lost anymore? Shall I go to uni? And is all hope lost if I don't go to uni?
