I was recently accepted into a college that I would like to go to, but that my parents don’t like and refuse to pay for. It’s a private school, and quite expensive. My family doesn’t qualify for financial aid, and I didn’t apply for any scholarships because I didn’t think that I would be in this position. What should I do? Is there any hope? Thanks14 AnswersFinancial Aid8 months ago
My school has an exchange program with a school in France where they visit us for a week in the fall, and then we visit them during spring break. Recently, I hosted a French student and it was really great. I want to go with my school over break, but the trip is two thousand dollars and I don t think we can afford it. Is there any program that will allow me to apply for a grant to go on this vacation? Please help... thanks.2 AnswersFinancial Aid9 months ago
A few days ago I purchased 2 Dracaena Marginata plants from The Home Depot. They seemed to be pretty healthy and were doing well. This morning, I noticed that one plant has yellow/brown spots all over the leaves. I haven’t watered them but once, so I don’t think it is an overwatering problem. They don’t have any visible signs of pests and they do not need to be reported.
I have them up against a south facing window, however my house it a cave and even moving them back a foot would provide them with much less light. I live in northern Virginia and my house temperature stays around 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
I will attach a few photos of my “sick” plant. It seems that all the discoloring is appearing on the newer leaves.
Is this normal? If not, does anybody have any advice on what may be going on? Anything is appreciated.2 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 year ago
It would most likely have negative effects on coral and fish, right? But what really would happen? Would the coral get time confused?3 AnswersFish4 years ago
I recently purchased a ruby long fin fairy wrasse (Cirrhiabrus rubreus) and I want to tell if it is a male, female, or supermale. Comparing it to the picture the website I bought it from gives me, my wrasse has duller colors and smaller fins. However I don not think this is enough information to assume my wrasse is a female. How could I tell for sure with a ruby long fin fairy wrasse?
So a couple days ago I added a sharnose goby, zoanthids, and a blue coral banded shrimp to my 55 gallon aquarium. My zoas and gobies are doing fine, but I have not seen my coral banded shrimp. Do they often hide? I've had a fire shrimp and it died within a couple hours.
My water quality is good, I am keeping difficult fish. My fish are super peaceful, there were no signs of harassment. It has plenty of food, bristleworms frequent my tank.
The only thing it could have died from is when I added sand. The water was cloudy for about 18 hours. However, my pipefish survived and it has small gills.
So wht do you think? Is it hiding or dead?
I would like to grow a tree in my bedroom. It has plenty of sunlight, and I have about 30 minutes a day to care for it.?
It should also not grow to be tall, as my bedroom is only 10 feet. I was thinking bonsais were too clichè, any ideas as to what type it should be?9 AnswersGarden & Landscape5 years ago
I have a 55 gallon saltwater fish tank that has algae problems. I do not currently have any photos to share, but it is pretty bad.?
I need a fast, natural solution, perhaps an invertebrate, that will clean my tank. The only problem is is that I really don't have all that much money to spend (like none). Any ideas? (Keep in mind I want the solution to be living and super duper cheap!)1 AnswerFish5 years ago
I am 13 years old, and going through puberty. I share a room with me 10 year old brother, who often has sleepovers with my sister.?
We also share the same bathroom. If I feel uncomfortable, should I have more privacy than this? (Most concerned about the bathroom- don’t know why.)4 AnswersFamily5 years ago
