  • Does the length of the coil on circular knitting needles matter?

I have never used circular needles before and am trying to follow a pattern for socks. The needles I am using are the same as what the pattern recommends but the coil is too long so that I can't spread the stitches over the two needles. Is this a problem? Would it be possible to shorten the coil?

  • How do you calculate the heat capacity of a calorimeter?

In the question the reaction is between HCl and NaOH. It tells you to calculate heat capacity by doing deltaH of neutralisation multiplied by mole and then divided by change in temp. 100ml of 1M HCl used and 100ml of 1M NaOH used. The part I am stuck on is that I cant get the mole right because I don t know what it wants the moles of??
