  • Heating wattages - 1000w, 2000w does it really matter?

Hi I'm getting radiant heaters for my home. I have been told by the manufacturers the best ratings based upon SQm but it is also based upon recent construction of home, which mine is not. My question is this. Given the heaters all have thermostats which do not exceed 30 degrees C wouldn't having a 2000watt heater instead of a 1000watt just mean the room will heat up twice as quickly then stop the heater when the thermostatic temperature is reached. So effectively I could have all my heaters at 2000watt no matter what room size and it wont necessarily be more expensive to run?
