If one person were to go hunting/fishing in say a national forest, miles from habitation, how would they do it without having transportation for say 2 days back home because that is when their friend is picking them up or something. How would they keep the meat from spoiling? I assume it would have to be cool temperatures to do this. How would they keep the meat safe from predators? If you hang it in trees, do you have to worry about birds or bugs getting to it? How would you deal with that? After dressing the animal and they have blood/guts on their hands, how would they cover or get rid of the scent so predators don't ,mistake them for prey? Essentially this sort of thing would be the way the Native Americans would do it, so how did they do it?
