• Solving equation for z raised to fractional powers?

    (4/3) * R * z^(3/2) - (2/5) * z^(5/2) = (-sqrt(2g)*s*t/pi + C)^2 z is the variable I am solving for and z is a function of t. All other variables are constants. So basically I need a z on one side of the equation and everything else on the other.

He was gone visiting the other college for 2 days and it about killed me. I don't have a car so the only way I can see him is if he drives to pick me up so I doubt he'd be able to do that except on weekends and even then probably not every weekend. I really want to be happy for him but this is tearing me up inside. I know it's only 40 minutes away (or 3 hours on the bus if he can’t pick me up) and could be WAY worse, but after thinking for months that he was going to stay here it's quite a shock and I just don't know how to handle this. I don't know how to talk about this with him without seeming clingy (which I'm terrified of) or ruining his excitement and happiness which I would like to be able to enjoy with him. What should I do to make myself feel better and stop the worrying? I'm seriously losing sleep over this. We've only been going out for 3 months so far but I definitely trust him and we’re not going to end things. Please help and please no negative comments about how it could be worse, etc. Thanks so much!

We just got back to college after winter break a few days ago and when I told him some of our other friends (but not me) were going out to lunch he said "are you going?" and I said that I wasn't and then he sounded sad. Also when we first got back he hugged me (squeezing the breath out of me lol) and said really quietly "I missed you!". So do you think we're just really good friends or might there possibly be something else there?

I'm already at a top university in the US in the engineering school so there's no need to worry about that. I'm currently a computer science major but hating it so that's why I am switching. I'm hoping to move back to the UK after university (moved here from there 10 years ago) so moving to where the Formula 1 teams work is not a problem for me.
