  • Sous Vide - worth it?

I just got a sous vide (home use type) and used it with pork chops (first time). Thought I followed the directions very closely but the result wasn't bad but it wasn't "killer". Does this thing make meat great or just a little better? So far I am somewhat disappointed. (Please only respond if you have experience with a sous vide).... show more

My contention is that ground beef without the "fillers" and egg(s) is just seasoned hamburger. What's your take?

Posts like, "I recently hit somebody in the face with a baseball bat as a joke. Since it was a joke am I really responsible?" I suggest not responding to these obviously made up posts to avoid encouraging these idiots.

Infuriated by CDC (Center for Disease Control) -funded research suggesting that having firearms in the home sharply increased the risks of homicide, the NRA goaded Congress in 1996 into stripping the injury center's funding for gun violence research – $2.6 million. Congress then passed a measure drafted by then-Rep. Jay Dickey (R-Ark.) forbidding the CDC to spend funds "to advocate or promote gun control." (The NRA initially hoped to eradicate the injury center entirely. The NRA has taken a position against the people of the United States (especially the children) and it is time to do the research and not vote for ANY politician taking money from the NRA. They are brushing aside the safety of the children of the country in favor of idiots who need to own machine guns.

The Catholic Church protected priests who sexually preyed on children for over 100 years before they eventually had to admit it. Similarly over 50 church elders of Alabama have come to Moore's support. Hopefully more folks will come to the support of the teenage girls of Alabama. Historically we can expect at some point Moore's supporters will find one woman accuser that they can point to some lack of discretion or lack of a perfect background or smear in some way. They will then hold up that one person in an attempt to smear and discredit all of the women who have accused Moore. It's a very old and very cheap trick and does not excuse Moore.

They came armed and prepared for violence and Republicans are now telling us they were the victims. Who "threw the first punch" may or may not ever be known but holding a group openly prepared for war as the poor victims of violence is only believed by Nazi sympathizers. The world is watching and the more the Republicans attempt to identify the neo-Nazis as victims the credibility of the party totally evaporates.

Yahoo Answers took down mine then allowed me to appeal that decision without giving me a transcript of the post. How can I appeal that? I know I was critical but don't remember exactly what I said or what might have triggered being taken down and penalized making an appeal impossible.
