• What is the correct etiquette of going to view a property ?

I'm viewing a property for rental. I am here early but there is no sign of the agent. I'm waiting outside do I just wait here for him to come? Should I ring on the flat to see if he is inside? I'm embarrassed to ring on in case the tenant is still living there. Surely he is just not here yet and would meet me outside?

  • How do I add more flavour to a mushroom pasty?

I have made this recipe here https://www.thevegspace.co.uk/recipe-mus... They are nice but I could have done with the filling being a bit tastier. I'm trying to think of other flavourings to add to boost the flavour. Was thinking miso paste or tamarind paste for umami. Any ideas? Needs to be vegan

  • Is it safe to eat cheese muffins that have been left out overnight?

I was cooking for a party and i made some savoury spinach and cheese muffins. I was so busy that i only realised after the guests had left that I had never put them in the fridge after making them so they were out of the fridge for about 15 hours. I'm worried I have given everyone food poisoning. Do you think they were Ok?

  • Is golden syrup as bad as white sugar for a cake?

I am making a cake for someone and they have asked if i can use less sugar as they are trying to cut their sugar intake. The cake doesn't have any sugar, it has 175g of golden syrup. Is that any better than white sugar or should i reduce the amount. I am worried it won't be as moist if i put less in. Maybe I should reduce the golden syrup... show more

  • Need a recipe for sugar free cookies?

My mother in law has asked if I can make cookies that have no sugar. she doesn't even want sweetener or agave or maple syrup. The only way i can think of making them sweet is by using fruit such as dates. She also wants to use up some ground almonds (almond flour she has left over). Anyone have a recipe?
