  • Need to develop equation for finding value between 2 numbers?

I'm 15 years removed from college so I don't remember how to do this, or even what it's called. If I know my upper limit (12) returns a value of 1.0, and my lower limit (5) returns a value of 0.35, how do I write an equation to give me the value of any number in between the 5 and 12?

  • WHY do the fans have to so direspectful?

Why boo the nat'l anthem of the visiting country? That is so lame, so childish, so cruel, so uncalled for. We all love hockey, why make it into a smear of a country? That's just awful. And I'm talking both sides here. There's absolutely no reason for it. Yeah ok boo the team, but not the country, and certainly not the country's... show more

  • Can Edmonton make the playoffs?

Even a week or so ago they were left out int he cold to be forgotten. They are really streaking and are currently 5 points out. Do they have it in them to make it in? I'd rather Detroit not play them in the first round though.

  • Clunking noise in front end?

'02 Chevy Silverado 4wd. On cold mornings (below 25 degrees) I get a loud clunking noise in front left, I think near the tire, when driving at 15-25 mph. It clunks about 5 or so times in 2 miles. What could it be? Nothing feels loose in front end; changed out the differential fluid recently; it didn't help.

  • PVC or PEX for underground water line?

I am about to lay nearly 600' of line to run from the meter to my house. Which is best material, pros & cons? PEX will cost slightly more, but with fewer joints, I would think that'd be better.

  • Electrical ground service requirements?

I'm installing underground power to feed a 200A service. Line is running 250 feet. Electrician said 4/0 wire aluminum, but I don't know if thats' 2-4s and a 2, or 2-4s, 1-2 and a #4 ground. Also, what depth does it need to be buried to? What size schedule 40 conduit do I use? And how far from my undergound water line does it need to be?
