I have been receiving my UK state pension in the Philippines for 2 yrs
The pension is paid into my account on the correct day at 11 pm every time Philippines time.
On the 17th of Nov, it was due to arrive at my bank account at 11pm. It did not. As you can imagine, I panicked. The next day I telephoned the
International Pension Center in the UK. They told me that the pension had been sent to Citi Bank 7th of Nov.r and it should arrive that day or the next but
again it did not arrive so I phoned the Int Pen Center again. In this second phone call I was told that the money had been sent on the 7 Nov and that it
would arrive on the 21 or the 22 the latest. Again nothing arrived. In this second phone call they advised me to go talk with the manager of my bank in the
Philippines. I did that. The manager there telephoned their head-office in Manila. No, nothing had arrived. She even telephoned the Citi Bank branch in
Manila but they would not disclose any information on the phone or to anyone in the Philippines.
Please advise. What do I do ? Every time I phone the International Pension Center in the UK I get the same answer, that it was sent on the 7 Nov etc .
Phoning the UK from the Philippines is so expensive especially now that our funds are running out. I live with my Filipina wife and have a 10-month baby
girl and we are in panic because the baby powder milk for example, is running out !!! Today, 25 Nov it still has not arrived. Thank you
