  • What can the router see if I'm behind it using a proxy?

    If I'm on my desktop or laptop and I use Firefox's settings to setup a proxy for all my traffic to go through. What can the router see going through it. I know all it would see would be traffic to and from the proxy, but can the router open the traffic and see what is being requested through the proxy. Or am I completely anonymous? Do any proxies support encryption that would let me connect securely?

  • Help analyzing this .bat file?

    Someone gave me this bat file:

    @echo off

    SET SRV_LST=services.lst

    FOR /F "skip=1 eol=> tokens=1 delims=" %%a IN (%SRV_LST%) DO (@net stop %%a /y)

    I think it kills windows xp services, right? How would I add another DO for killing processes?

  • Where does Windows Server 2003 store domain passwords?

    I can't find them to save my life!! I know that a Windows 2003 Server (R2) acting as a domain controller allows all clients of the domain to authenticate against it. So there must be a password hash on the system somewhere. I'd guess Active Directory or somthing. Anybody know where to find them? Oh and they're not in the local sam database. I checked only 5 times. Again I'm looking for the hashes users authenticate against when they log on to a domain, NOT the local account passwords.

  • I have this sore and it's not healing?

    Hey all, maybe this is a stupid question. But I have this nasty sore in my groin area. It just won't heal. I haven't been picking or scratching or anything!! But It won't heal or scab over and it is kinda oozing because of that. I think it's cause it's getting rubbed whenever I walk. Anyone have some brilliant idea of what to do to get it to heal.

    P.S. It is NOT genital herpes or any kind of STD. I'm a virgin and I'm staying that way.

    Hey I'm looking at this site and it lets you make like custom t-shirts. I'm curious. I want to make one with the guitar hero logo on it. Is that illegal to do. I'm just doing it for my own personal interest cause it'd look really cool.

  • Should I work on some upper body strength?

    Just a Q for the girls. K guys? Well I'm guy, exactly 6'0 and I know I'm pretty skinny. I think I'm well proportioned except for my legs. For sports, I do a lot of running, so I have these huge 21" thighs. I sorta thing I'm out of balance. Do you girls think I should work on some upper body weight training to kinda even me out? Is upper body strength really attractive on guys or does it not really matter? An please don't complain about a pic. I just don't want to have my face all over the internet.

  • Ok I think this is really odd. I'm still crazy bout her?

    K so I liked this girl, and I made it pretty obvious I liked her. But her best friend said that she likes somebody else. I was only upset for like 72 hours, Now I'm just crazy about her all over again. Why is that. Shouldn't I be heartbroken or something.

  • OK so I'm a church kid but I still want to have a relationship?

    I'm 14 and insanely romatic.Me and this girl I like both go to this church where dating is a huge thing. It's generally accepted that dating is only for finding a lifelong companion. If you start dating at like 16, that's considered early. Anyway so I plan on telling this girl I like her and if she liked me back I'd like to start a relationship. But we couldn't really date. Both of our parents would probably say no. How could we maintain a relationship under those conditions? What would make me different from every other guy she knows?

  • Would we be a good couple?

    I know this girl and I really like her.

    I'm 14, pretty mature (I've had people guess that I'm 16) and 5ft. 11 in. I'm generallly pretty shy, I work with computers a lot, I play soccer. I have a medium-high IQ and a very high EQ. (Emotional quotient. The higher it is, the more stable you are with your emotions.)

    She's a couple of months older than me, and about a head shorter. She's a go-getter, really flamboyant kind of girl. She's not afraid to go out and play football with the guys. she's very emotional and tends to get frustrated easily.

    Would we fit together well? I sort of think we would balance each other out.

  • Linux compatible wireless card?

    I'm looking for a well linux supported wireless card. I need/want it to run under Puppy Linux, and primarily Knoppix-STD (Security Tools Distrobution). It also needs to support monitor mode because I want to use it with kismet, airsnort, and other network tools. Puppy Linux should not be a problem, because I could use ndiswrapper to make it work and I would only be using it for standard surfing, but Knoppix-STD is a whole new can of worms. Has anybody had good experience with a wireless card on Knoppix-STD?

  • Wireless support in the linux kernel?

    I am working on integrating my linux laptop with a wireless network.

    Is anybody aware of a wireless PCMCIA card that had native support in the linux kernel. I have one that I already got to work with ndiswrapper, but I really want one that could work by default with only connection configuation required.

    So have any of you used or know of a card that has native linux support in the kernel? The earlier the version of the kernel that it was supported in, the better.

  • Can anybody tell me how to change the Sata operation?

    I have A dell 9100 and in the BIOS I want to change the operation of the Sata Disks from the default to Raid autodetect\ATA. I tried it and got a warning that doing so might cause the disk not to boot and require a reinstall. Can I do this without worrying about a disk crash?
