  • San Francisco to Las Vegas?

We will be visiting realtives in San Francisco over the Christmas period. As it's our second trip there (we've done quite a lot already eg. Alcatraz, Suasalito, Yosemite, Napa etc.) we would like to drive further afield. Is driving to Las Vegas for a few days feasible? What's the weather like at that time of the year?

  • San Francisco?

What can I do with my family around San FRancisco at Christmas time? It's our second trip there, so we've done all the touristy things - Alcatraz, Napa, Golden Gate, Bay, Lombard Street, China Town etc. We would like to do something different. We'll be hiring a car so driving a bit of a distance won't be too bad although we will have to return to SF. I have 2 teenagers and a 7 year old, so activities would have to suit everyone.

  • Are the English just bad losers?

On the way to work this morning I heard a radio presenter really taking the mick out of the South Africans and making jokes at their expense because of the cricket. I remember last year how the Portuguese were on the receiving end. Is this justified? Are the English really the best sportsmen and the rest of the world cheaters? Come on.
