  • Love the job but I hate the city, how should I resign?

    Hi guys,

I currently have an average job (doesn't pay that well) in Johannesburg. I love the guys and the job - but I can't stand the city.

I just came back to Johannesburg from Cape Town to join a company here and to be closer to my mother who wasn't doing so well then in terms of health. The company turned out to be hell (not properly run and projects were not properly co-ordinated). I resigned and joined my current company for a lesser pay.

I am still on probation and I feel as if moving from Cape Town to Johannesburg was one of the worst decision I have ever made. How should I resign? What should I tell my current employer?

    Johannesburg

    - closer to my parent, family, siblings and friends

    - but i feel unhappy

    - i feel there is still a long way to grow financially (get a decent salary)

    - if someone offers me a decent amount (I might stick around - maybe)

    Cape Town

    - there is a lot happening

    - regular hackathons

    - better pay

    - 1700km away from my family (quite pricey to regularly commute)

    - the girlfriend works here

    - a beautiful city :-)

I also recently lost a friend. I also want to do what would have made him happy - which is to work hard, make money and be happy (sounds like Cape Town).

How should I go about telling my employer that (it is not necessarily about the money - although it might make me stay). It is about my happiness and better money in Cape Town?

How do I put that into a resignation letter?

  • Fat Deposit on Abdominla Muscles?

I have not been active for the past year mainly due to a busy hectic lifestyle. I recently moved to another city and work is only 15 minutes away. I have a bit more time on my hands. I joined the gym for about a month now to take advantage of the 4 - 5 extra hours in my life.

    The problem:

Anyways after a couple of weeks of working out alone, building up the steady slow and seeing results - very good results, I decided to join some guys at the gym. The plan is to work out in groups and increase the intensity. I started on Monday and on Wednesday is was stomach exercises day.

    The question:

I did the exercises without a problem only that the Thursday to the Saturday I was in a really big pain (gym after effect). That I can understand. The BIG problem is that my tummy has now put on so much fat it's unbelievable. I can hold the sides of my belly towards the abdomen. It is all fat and whenever I walk or jump I can feel it wobbling. It really annoys me.

How is that possible? I did nothing wrong. I simply over exercised my stomach muscles and today when going to work, all of a sudden my shirt wouldn't fit anymore (it was tight) and I could feel my tummy wobble with every footstep.

Please help... is this some form of medical disorder or what could be the issue possibly? I have been at the gym for 4 weeks and I am only starting to feel the strangeness today (5th week)

  • MYSQL - user has no rights on database?

    Hi,

I have a small problem. I run a Joomla website and I have a problem connecting to the database. I get an error that says user does not have privileges to create a database. I used the MySQL database wizard to create the website and I created a user with all the right permissions (admin right).

I cannot connect and create tables. I tried to import tables on to the database using CPanel's - myphpadmin with no luck.

What is the correct procedure to import a table from your local host without any problems.

I have changed my configuration.php file aswell as the configuration-phplist script.

Nothing helped - I even tried to use the JoomlaPack however I have problems extracting the content on the server.

please help - I am already 7 days after due date - the client doesn't trust me anymore

    Hi,

I am currently taking over my company's network administrator's job position. this is how it works, we have certain pc's that run norton anti-virus and some that run AVG. We have a proxy protected network.

I access internet on client's machine by right clicking on the browser and selecting "Run as" and inputing the administrator user name and password.

however today i had the toughest time of my life when was trying to access the internet on the sales manager's pc. my trick wouldn't work and that made me the worst IT ever.

I then tried logging on as the administrator on the PC and still i could access the internet. The IP is within the IP range of the company. I changed the IP address(used one from a working pc) and still I was left without internet access. The PC works fine on the company domain... you can access mails from the exchange server without problem.

Now the question: What the hell is wrong with the settings on the PC? The problem is on two machines...

    PLEASE HELP!!!

  • ISA server - I forgot... please assist?

    Hi,

I have worked for about 3 months on ISA servers before but unfortunately the company i was working for shut down. I moved to the technical site (computers, printers, projector - etc). basically office automation and web design.

Now I am stuck at a stupid company. I have the administrator password. I can get internet access my way - using the admin acc. I want to create a user on the server with internet priviledges. I can add the user (easy).

The question is how to I grant the user Internet access? I wast to use the new user account and avoid using the aministrator account as it might get me into sh*t. The ISA server is quite an intelligent piece of software :-) and it can get anyone fired.

I am also afraid they might change the password and I'll be stuck without internet. Please assist - I need internet access all day so I can make changes to the company websites at anytime I feel like it.

I am restricted because I have to also help with the technical stuff :-(

  • WML help.... please!!?

    Hi,

I have been messing around with HTML, javascript, Php and eventually Joomla!!

I am not the man yet :-( [sadly]. I however want to have the mobile browser knowledge. I am thinking of learning WML and was just wondering.

    1. What is a good developing prgram that can pick up syntax errors?

    2. What do you use on your computer to view your end product without uploading it first?

I know that might sound silly and all... but please assist in all ways possible. My friend told me the notepad should be fine and that IE7 should be fine to view the results.

I want to hear from the professionals... so please Yahoo Answers - pimp me up!

On which side was South Africa on during the World War 2. Why was it involved in the attack of England and Germany? Did it take any sides and why was it involved anyway?

What was America's comments on the attacks?

One last question: Could we say that the World War 2 was started or stirred up by one man (Adolf Hitler)??
