Alright, I hang around this part of Answers a lot, I don't why, I just enjoy reading some of the stuff here and occasionally helping out when I can.
So I've noticed that some of the people here say that talking with your girlfriend/boyfriend for extended hours (lets say around 5+ hours) is the norm for them. My reaction to this is "wow, that's a lot."
I've never talked to somewhat that long EVER. The longest I've had is 3-ish hours and yes, it was with my girlfriend but it never became the norm to have conversations that for that long. Ours are maybe 30 minutes to an hour long on average I would say. It's probably because I'm not that good of a phone person lol. :) Also, we do spend a lot of time in person and I definitely enjoy that more, it's much closer to my comfort zone so I suppose that's the reason why.
Basically my question is more of a survey...
Do you prefer talking for long extended hours?
Do you prefer shorter ones?
Also, my main question: do you think you should be able to just talk forever with that person?
Because some of the sentiments here are that "if you can't go at least 5 hours with that person, it's not gonna work out." I think it's silly but go ahead and drop your own opinion.
Thanks guys and girls.
