Years ago I bought a PA system with an 8-channel powered mixer, two speakers, stands, microphones, cables galore, and so on. Transporting it became increasingly difficult for me, as I'm now 70. So a few years ago I bought a combo amp (Fishman Loudbox Pro) that conveniently has both an instrument channel and a microphone channel. I use it once a month when another guitar player and I volunteer at a local nursing home. Since there are two of us singing I bought a 2-to-1 microphone blender and plug the two mics into that and from there to the amp. His guitar doesn't have a pickup so I plug my guitar into the instrument input jack and that's that. It all sounds fine.
Now, finally to the question: if we're going to add another person who will sing and play through the amp, what do I do? We'll have three mics and two guitars to be plugged in. I don't want to go back to the original mixer setup. I have seen some $100-ish unpowered mixers like this one:
Can I plug the three mics and the two guitars into that mixer and take a line output from that to my combo amp? Is there some other, better solution?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
