  • I have my driving theory test this afternoon - but my provisional licence is snapped in half?!?

I am taking my theory test in a couple of hours, and was just wondering if they are still gonna let me sit the test even though my provisional license card is snapped in half? It happened accidentally as I use that card as my I D when I go out. Are they gonna kick up a fuss? Is it still valid? The crack isn't on my picture and you can clearly read all the info on the card.

    Any help will be great.

    Thanks

  • How do I get my new LG GS290 cookie phone to work with my old sim card?

I've just got a new LG cookie phone which came with a T mobile sim. I already have a t mobile sim, and want to keep my number, so I planned to use that. When I put it in however it says "usim locked".

My existing sim is on a "sim only contract", so it should work in any t mobile hanset. What should I do?

  • I just found a flea in my house, and I don't own any pets - help!?

I'm sitting in my bedroom, I felt something crawling on my arm, and it was a flea. I'm sure that it was a flea, and it jumped away before I could kill it. Plus this is a pet free house. I'm horrified! :-(

I'm guessing its not alone. What could cause fleas to come into a house with no pets? And more importantly, how do I get rid of them?!

I'm renting this place with 2 other people, and while we keep it fairly tidy the house is prone to damp and the carpets are pretty old and threadbare - could this be something to do with it?

Any help is much appreciated. x

  • What would be a good power kite for a beginner?

I'd be buying it as a gift for my fiance who has mentioned she wants one. I've just looked at a few shops and theres so many different types! If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful. As for budget, I can't really go above £300.

  • How long after being treated for a kidney infection does the pain stop?

Just over 2 months ago I was diagnosed with a kidney infection, spent a day in hospital, then was let home with a weeks worth of antibiotics and strong pain killers. I took all the tablets like I was told to, and the unwell, feverish feelings and constant back and bladder pain went away.

Thing is, ever since I have the odd day when the burning feeling comes back in my bladder, and it can be a bit stingy when I pee. The only way to stop this happening that I've found is to drink far more water than I usually would, and if I drink things like juice/cola/beer within a few hours the pain starts up again. This is happening about 3 times a week.

Any ideas on when things will get back to normal? is a trip to the doctors in order?

(And I know its not an STD because I only sleep with my fiance and when I was addmitted to hospital originally they tested me for pretty much everything).

    Thanks

  • My internet provider has been under charging me for ages - will they ask me for the extra money?

Basically my internet provider has been billing me for the basic internet package, although I have been receiving the the higher package complete with TV channels.

I know they've been doing this for years, but seeing as I have the paper bills requesting the minimal amount thats all I've paid them.

But now theres a problem with our connection, and I'm gonna have to call them up. If they look over my account records and realise they have been undercharging me can they legally demand the rest of the money? All I wanna do is cancel the account.

    Thanks again

  • How do I mark an item as paid for on Ebay if I've deleted it from my sold list?

I recently sold an item that was collection only. It was the first time I've done that, and the woman who bought it wanted to pay me cash when she came over, which I agreed to.

Anyway, she came over and paid, it all went well, and when I next went on Ebay I noticed I still had the reminder on my account saying I was still awaiting payment on that item. So I deleted it from my sold list thinking that would deal with it.

But today I've had a message from the woman who bought the item asking me to mark it as payment received because shes still got the reminder on her account and wants it cleared. But I don't know how to.

Is there a way I can mark it as payment received even though I've deleted the item?

    Any help would be great.

  • Should I still feel this after having finishing my course of antibiotics?

I was diagnosed as having a kidney infection 2 weeks ago. I was taken into hospital at first, then released a few hours later and given a course of antibiotics and strong pain killers. Those lasted a week, but now a week on I still occasionally get a slight stinging sensation when I urinate. Its nowhere near as bad as before I went to hospital, but it seems that if I drink anything other than water - or if I don't drink enough water during the day - I get it. Shouldn't that have stopped by now? Could I still be ill?

    Thanks for any help

  • What happens on Ebay when someone bids and wins your item, but then never pays or arranges collection?

I listed an item fr the first time recently on Ebay which after a few bids was won by someone. As its a rather large item I had it listed as Collection Only, and shortly after the bidding came to an end the girl who had won sent me a message telling me her name and that she wanted to arrange a time to come pick it up. I replied, asking when she was free. After a few days of no response I emailed her again with mine and my fiances mobile numbers, and told her to call or email me. Now its been about 2 weeks and still nothing.

What do I do? Should I make some kinda complaint about her to Ebay? Or somehow cancel the sale and list it again? Any help is greatly appreciated!

  • Can you believe train prices?

In a time of crisis in the economy and Britain needing a boost in its trade by people holidaying here instead abroad, why is it £400+ for a 2person return to Cornwall. When for that money you can get a flight to a sunny European destination plus hotel for 4 people.

Where's the logic an why so expensve?

  • Right, I've got my new notebook and have installed itunes - next step?

I've just got a new notebook (old laptop died) and want to continue using my ipod. I've downloaded itunes, bought a couple of songs, then plugged in my ipod and am told if I want to sync it with my new itunes all my existing content will be wiped.

So does this mean I've gotta restore all my music on my new itunes before I sync up my ipod?

  • I've got a new laptop - so what happens with my ipod?

I've got an ipod and had it synced with my laptop. Then my laptop died. Totally died, no way of getting anything off it. I've now got myself a notebook, and when I tried plugging in my ipod it began charging and a box came up giving me the options of either viewing the files inside or playing them through Windows Media player.

Is there any way of getting itunes installed on this new notebook? And if I did, I suppose I'll have to start again with my music collection?

    Thanks for any help guys.

  • Is Windows Live OneCare free?

I've recently got a new Toshiba Notebook and it came with a free 30 days anti virus with McAfee. That's fast running out, so I'll need to sort out protecting it, but I've heard from a few people Windows Live OneCare is free? Is that true? Or is it a free demo thing again?

I'm a bit skint so any free or low cost anti virus would be great right now.

    Thanks

  • Can someone explain to me, in lay-mans terms, whats going on with the financial crisis at the moment?

I know that banks and building societies are at risk, and that its all over the news, and everyone is referring to the "credit crunch", but somewhere along the line I got totally lost.

If you could explain it to me I'd be very grateful.
