I opened up the hub to find it full of smelly brown junk so I cleaned it out, regreased the bearings etc and put it back together unfortunately its still making a noise and not spinning very well I put another back wheel in to ensure it wasnt anything else and it worked fine. So is there any other course of action or should I replace it? thanks

  • Cassette fault on road bike fix?

My cassette randomly spins out when im out its not an issue of being in the wrong gear the cassette spins without moving the back wheel as if its not locking, weird thing is after I stop and mess about it seems to work then maybe an hour or so later I get the same problem. Im guessing it may be a freehub issue ... Thanks

  • I have a 11/25 cassette and would like to change to 12/27 is it a straight forward swap?

I have done some very hilly spotives this year I felt uncomfortable on the bigger climbs. I dont want to change to a compact chainset yet and though this would give me a little extra on the big climbs. Its an ultegra cassette & I will replace it with ultegra do I need to worry about chain length?
