I have been offered a promotion from Barman to Bar Supervisor in a restaurant in the UK. I am currently earning minimum wage and working 50-55 hour weeks. However, the promotion that i have been offered is offering me a higher rate of pay based on me working 40 hours a week. With christmas coming up, im certain that i will be working 60-70 hour weeks, but because im getting paid salary i will only be paid for 40 of them. Is it illegal to promote someone and offer them less pay? Is it illegal to expect me to work more than the 40 hours im getting paid for? Is it illegal to give someone more responsibilities whilst paying them less than what they currently earn? The restaurant supervisor is 2 years younger than me (so he's 19) and he is getting paid an hourly wage, meaning that he will take home more than me at the end of the month. I'm pretty sure that its illegal for someone in the same position as you earning more than you, especially as he is younger. If you know of anything that is illegal or have any suggestions, then i will be very grateful to hear them - i desperately want the job promotion but if i can earn more on minimum wage i don't really see the point. Any proof/evidence that you can provide to back up your statement will be very useful too.

GPU: nVidea Geforce GTS 250 HDD: 2x 500gb Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm MOBO: Asus P5QLD PRO O/S: W7 Ultimate x 64 Also taking power would be the heatsink fan, side fan, front fan, themometer and optical drive. I am thinking of adding a further 2gb of the same RAM and another 1tb seagate baracuda 7200 hdd. Will my power suply be able to handle this? Is there a way of calculating the total power being used that anyone could reccommend? Many thanks

I have 4 Dual Channel Ports on my mother board (2x2), with 2 2gb sticks in one channel, and i attempted to fit another 2 1gb sticks into the 2nd channel, but this would result in me not being able to see anything on the screen, which i figured was due to lack of power to the graphics card? Below are my PC Specs: O/S: Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 MOBO: Asus P5QLD PRO CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 GPU: nVidia GeForce GTS 250 RAM: 5gb DDR2-SD RAM (2x2gb Kingston HyperX @ 1066mhz (PC2-8500), 1 x 1gb OCZ XTC @ 800 MHZ(PC2 6400)) PSU: OCZ Stealth X Stream 2 600W HDD: 2 x 500gb Seagate Barracuda 7200 internal, 1x Seagate Barracuda 1TB external. I am aware that the Kingston HyperX RAM is not fully compatible with the motherboard, so it is read at 800mhz rather than 1066mhz. When i filled the 4th RAM slot with any stick of RAM, there are no visuals on the screen when i turn it on. Is this a motherboard issue (I.E. a faulty mobo) or is it due to not enough power supply. Any help is greatly appreciated:) Many thanks in advance

Technically, if i opened a file in photoshop and changed the temperature by 1, it would be a different photo, so could i just make very subtle colour arangement and send the photo off elsewhere? Using CPU-Z and PC Wizard 2010, it tells me that I'm using PC2-6400 @ 399 mhz. I have gone into bios settings and increased the FSB, so that it shows 1066mhz - i also changed the settings to match the latencies on the stickers (5-5-5-15), and increased the voltage to 2.1v But i still get a low speed... it looks as if the RAM is running at just under 800mhz, which is not right. As long as it fits the above guidelines then it should be fine. SLI would be nice and plenty of power slots for SATA hard drives and plenty of USB in ATX format Fail that, could someone tell me somewhere that sells a large variety of mobos, preferably in UK? I want to transfer all of my files accross to a newer 500gb seagate barracuda hdd (A:) and run windows from that, having the C: as a back up if i ever need it. I have formatted the A: drive and run 3 different types of programmes. Acronis, XX Clone and the windows software already on the PC. I can create a windows disk image of the C:, but i can't boot it from this drive. Please note that i do not have the installation disk for my pc (which was vista), and i upgraded it to windows 7 using a service microsoft offered for £30. I have made a system boot disk or whatever it is called, but i can't even boot from this, it just isnt recognised. I;ve been told i dont need to muck about with jumper settings, i just want to have my copy of windows 7 on a newer hdd, so that i can run it from there without the wory of the hdd dying very soon. Any advice or links to walkthroughs would be tremendous, as i seem to have exhausted my (novice) experience and intelligence of PCs. Many thanks
