    So, I am a 17-year-old female and I have multiple chronic diseases. However, I was diagnosed with POTs a few months ago. Two of my dr.s think its not pots but two others think it is. Water and salt doesnt help and my symptoms are getting worse. One symptom (out of 53), is really bugging me. This is chest pain/hard to breathe. I know that shortness of breath is very common with POTs patients, but when I can't breathe it's not like shortness of breath like when you walk up stairs or something, its like someone is squeezing my chest and I can't breath (kinda like when you hold your breath underwater and your chest starts to hurt and you can't breath). However, when I ask who has POTs about chest pain, they tell me they don't experience that. My chest feels really heavy like someone is sitting on it and I have to take very shallow breaths because I can't get a deep breath. This sometimes lasts for a week long without any relief. I never go to the ER because they are just going to tell me it's because of my POTs. I have a cardiologist appointment in two months, but my POTs appt isn't until 5 months from now (that was the soonest). Does anyone have any advice on how to relieve my chest pain and help me breath better? Laying down used to help my dizziness, but it doesn't anymore and it makes my chest pain/hard to breathe symptoms worse. Sorry for the long paragraph. Thank you!

    I am a 16 year old high school student who gets straight A's. Freshman year I started feeling dizzy and I would have to lay down or put my head against something to feel relief. I didn't think too much of it until it began to get worse everyday. I now suffer from many symptoms and I am dizzy everyday. My dizziness feels like I am swaying and moving back and forth when I am still. It feels like I'm on a boat when I'm not. I get deep ear pains, constant ear ringing in both ears, super sensitive hearing (I can even hear my eyes move sometimes), I get extremely motion sick to the point where I cannot even ride in a moving vehicle such as a car, bus, or train (I take the bus to school so I'm dizzy everyday when I arrive to school), Ii get super nauseous, my vision tunnels and I go blind for a few seconds. Many things also trigger this dizziness such as loud noises, deep noises, high pitched noises, any type of motion, sudden body movements, reading textbooks, standing for a while, dancing, working out, playing sports. I am a very healthy and active teen. I drink at least 6 water bottles that contain 17 fluid ounces and I have a well balanced diet with plenty of salt. The dizziness gets so bad that I have to lay down or put my head against something to relieve it. It usually last for a few hours but sometimes it can last for a week and all I can do is lay in bed. I cannot concentrate in school because of this.
