I have a jar of an Italian style tomato and basil cook in sauce. I live alone and it will do me for 3 days. I will be making a chicken meal and a mincemeat meal on the first two days [no problem with these] but would like a fish meal with the last helping, I am uncertain what fish to use. I have tuna, sardine, mackerel, dab [similar to plaice], whiting, huss, herring [fresh and smoked], lemon sole, tilapia, coley [similar to haddock], huss, black pomfret, I also have a 'fisherman's pie mixture'which is a mixture of pieces of cod, salmon and smoked haddock. Therefore I have a good assortment of fish, but the majority of the above are cold water fish not the sort to be found in the warmer waters around Italy.
