For example, Harvard's reputation is being known nationwide, possibly globally, as one of the most prestigious and difficult universities you can get into. So, what is UC's reputational equivalent?

In addition to UC's overall recognition and reputation, what is the reputation specifically for their College of Medicine program?

  • 4 people in the backseat?

Hello all, as a new driver with my temporary license, I am quite looking forward to receiving my full license in 6 months. I currently own a Ford Escape (small SUV) that has a wider-than-most rear seat and a flat rear floor so everyone can easily ride in comfort. I'm in a closeknit circle of 6 extremely close friends and we routinely go places together. My only question is whether or not it is legal to fit 4 people in the back seat if they are all buckled? We have a seat belt extender used when we had a car seat in the back seat and therefore, by utilizing the extender we could comfortably fit all 4 into the back. The question is not regarding comfort, however, it is regarding the legality of this. Is it legal?

  • Any way to make this car flashier?

This is my current vehicle: http://m.web2carz.com/used/detail.php?vehicleId=10...

a 2006 Ford Escape Limited in black. I have an appointment to have my windows tinted and headlights restored next week. I regularly keep it washed and waxed. In addition, I also have tasteful aftermarket running boards that are silver with black step accents. Are there any additions you believe could make this car stand out just a little more and not blend in so much? Thanks!

  • Temps/First License Dilemma?

Hello all, I am currently a sophomore in high school in Ohio and am roughly 15 1/4. In a few short months, I will be legally eligible to receive my temporaries (15 1/2 in Ohio), or a temporary license allowing you to drive with restrictions. My primary residence remains and is legally in Kentucky where my father lives. In Kentucky, temps begin at 16. By the way, I am currently residing in Ohio due to my parents' recent separation. Regardless, I was inquiring as to whether or not I am legally allowed to obtain my temporaries when I turn 15 1/2 while my primary residence does not reside in Ohio? My current residence is in my mother's name, I attend school in Ohio, and my birth certificate is registered for Ohio.

    Thank you!

  • Vehicle for an active family+friends?

I am looking for a vehicle to haul an active family and their friends. 3 rows is a must, as 6 people are hauled around in it everyday for carpool and for sleepovers, play dates, etc. I am currently using an older ford expedition and it's mileage is dismal at best.

I can do hybrids, gas, diesel, anything; as long as it gets the job done. I need it to have 3 rows (6-7 seats MINIMUM), towing capacity of about 6,000 pounds and a preferable MPG of 18+ (the higher the better). My family also has a camping passion with towing a camper as well as a boat kept at the marina, so we need some towing capacity to get that done. On that note, I am looking for AWD or 4WD as an option, preferably a manual 4WD because there are some tough back roads to get to our preferred camping site.

I can go for crossover, full size, minivan, whatever. However, I believe a minivan wouldn't do the job of towing and occasional back roads well, but I wouldn't know as I own an SUV. I can also do new or used and I have no budget, I've been saving up for a while I'm just not sure what I've been saving up for! Haha. Any help would be great, thanks!

  • Zero Emission Vehicles actually polluting?

I've read many articles about 'Zero Emission Vehicles' like the Nissan Leaf saying that since it is a plug-in hybrid, it therefore has no gas/tailpipe emissions. However, wouldn't the electricity generated that you need to power the car (through the plug in) be producing emissions? Are more Carbon emissions being emitted from the power plant than a regular fossil-fuel vehicle?

  • Best place to keep a record for college?

Hello, I'm a freshman in high school right now (started recently) and the school counselor recommends to keep track of things for college. Keep track of service, of learning opportunities, jobs, anything that may make you look well-rounded and impressive for college. And because of such an immediate connection to technology in this day and age, we have a new opportunity to do just that. There's no more just writing things down, it's now pictures, videos, blog posts, etc. and I have a smartphone that can do just that. College and scholarships are very, very important to me, as I am solo for paying for college. So keeping track of things is very important to me.

Well my counselor recommends KHEAA's (Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority) Individual Learning Plan, a site that allows aptitude and career tests and a place to keep track of service. While that is all great, it is not a well-designed website in terms of ability to integrate videos and pictures, and allows virtually no "presentation" whatsoever. I run a blog on Blogger (Google), and I personally favor it. But, I will have to post personal pictures, exact locations, and pictures of family; something that I do not want public.

So, I was wondering, is there any other place that could act as a blog host, but also allows private viewing or selective viewing?

    Thanks!

  • Metaphors in Murder on the Orient Express?

Hello, I read the book "Murder on the Orient Express" this weekend/week for my summer reading for my advanced English class. Well, I found what I BELIEVED were metaphors, but turned out to only be similes or idioms (Pg. 17, 166, 216, 223). I don't know what to do! I have never asked a question for help like this on Yahoo Answers, but now I'm desperate. If anyone can help me in any way, I would greatly appreciate it! You can give me a chapter but not the exact page so I have to work for it, as I feel awful having to stoop to asking questions such as this on Yahoo, or something. Thanks!

  • What is the largest SUV currently available to buy?

Hello, I am looking for the largest new, mass-produced SUV available for purchase in the American market. By "largest" I mean seating capacity, cargo space, towing capacity, and sheer size (length, width, height, etc),

Also, I MEAN an SUV, so please do not recommend a bus, passenger van, minivan, etc.

In regards to preferences, I need at least 7 seats and a towing capability. This is a car for my family and vacations, so that's what it will be used for. I do not have a budget.

    Thanks!

  • Are Sperrys Water Shoes?

I have to go tubing with my family (I'm a teenage guy) and I need water shoes that will stay on for intense and rough tubing.

I was looking into Sperrys because they are "boat shoes" and are "in" right now. But, are they water shoes? Like, will they hold the water and become water-logged instead of drying in a timely manner or will they dry quickly like flip flops?

After tubing, we have to do a little bit of walking so I want them to dry quickly afterwards. Here are the specific shoes I am looking at: http://www.sperrytopsider.com/store/SiteController...

Thanks! If my question is a little confusing just say so and I will edit it a bit.

    I appreciate you looking!

  • Are plaid shorts out?

Some friends and I are arguing about plaid shorts being out of style (right now). A majority says "yes they are out", but a few are saying "no they are still in". And I am talking about on young (teens-20s) guys and girls, but mostly guys.

So please tell me if you agree or disagree that they are out of style!

    Thanks for looking!

  • What if I think being popular and/or famous would make me happy?

People always say that they just want to be happy and that being happy isn't about being rich, famous, or popular. Well, what if being rich and famous would make me happy? I'm just looking for an answer as to why I think that would make me happy, because I don't think that it should make me happy.

    Please help :(

  • Jobs that require a lot of traveling?

Hello, I am wondering what kinds of job require LOTS of traveling all over the world? I'm only 13, and I'm barely in the job market, I only have 3 part-time jobs that aren't real. One is running a small shop down the street from me, another is babysitting for a very large gym (about 20 kids at a time), and then an as-needed babysitter for neighbors. Well, I'm beginning to think about my future. I already have education (one of the best high schools in the country) and a car lined up, as well as almost $7K worth of savings (when I turn 16), and I need to start seriously thinking about what job to pursue.

I've always felt that an ER doctor is my calling. I'm not sure why, I just have always loved the medical field and everything doctors do. I'm also an avid photographer, so the job could be photo-journalism around the world, if that exists.

Well, one thing that I have always enjoyed is traveling. I love seeing new places and meeting different people, and I think that I should pursue a job that incorporates all of that!

So, if you have any recommendations of jobs that require lots of traveling, I would really appreciate it!

    Thanks!

  • Best beginner Yamaha Clavinova or other digital piano?

I'm beginning piano lessons in about a month and a half, and we've decided to get a piano. We are looking ONLY for digital, new and used. We have been looking specifically at the Yamaha Clavinovas, which is what I prefer. Specifically, the Clavinova CLP 840 and the CLP 930, which are the only used pianos. We also have been looking at one new piano: the Kurtzweil MPS10, which has a USB and all the other fancy doohickeys.

So, of these three pianos, which would you recommend for a beginner with very little to no experience?

Also, if you have any other recommendations in regards to good, new or used, digital pianos, I would be happy to hear them!

    Thanks!

P.S. All 3 pianos have weighted, graded keys.

  • How to not only love the ideas of things?

I'm still young (teenage years) and I'm still figuring out what I'd like to do with my life. I am striving to become a doctor, but that's besides the point. I mean who I AM. Like my personality, hobbies, etc. I've always wanted to do different things, being a hipster, being an athletic person, etc. But I don't know how to actually find my personality, because I only like these the ideas of being these things? Does that make sense?

Like, I really like the stigmas and bigotries of being a bookworm and being considered a bookworm, but I wouldn't have any idea how to actually BE a bookworm and not care about what people think of me.

The only things I could think of that I genuinely am is a photographer and cyclist. I don't care what people think of me when I do those things, because it's what makes me happy.

So, what I'm asking, does anyone know how to not only love the IDEA of something, but actually love the thing?

Please help me, I've struggled with this for so long. And I know, this question is really confusing.

  • Best vlogging camera?

Here is my plethora of options: iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad 2, a Sony Handycam (2010), and an HD HP sleekbook webcam (laptop is brand new, 2 months old). I am getting into vlogging, and I can't decide which camera would be easiest for editing yet best for video/mic quality. If you could help me, I would really appreciate it! Thanks :)

Also, I will be doing recording in several places. Mainly my room, with lots of light (3 10ft widows and 3 different 3-tier lamps) but on occasion I'll shoot on location outside.

  • My iPhone's iMessage isn't working properly! Help?

Hi! I am having a real issue with my iPhone and iMessage. For a VERY long time, my mom and I have both owned and used iPhones, and, consequently, iMessage. Well, recently she betrayed Apple and switched to Android (gasp!). Well, since then, I can't send ANY texts to her! This is because my iPhone (4S) won't detect that it is an Android, and I have to manually send each iMessage text as a regular text message. It's a real nuisance, and I was wondering if there was any way to fix this?

I made sure her contact is no longer associated with "iPhone" contact and her number is listed as "Mobile" instead of "iPhone". And when THAT didn't work, I created a new contact completely, but it STILL recognizes her number as an iPhone number! Please help me if you can!
