Since laissez faire is a failed economic system which failed to hold up during the industrial revolution. Right-wing libertarianism also gives the power to the employer and the wealthy. Speaking from an economics stand point, this is terrible as it weakens the middle class and makes them less productive. It also lacks individuals due to the natural hierarchy, since most people are at the bottom and are forced to work for next to nothing. Sometimes they dont even get paid and then there is slave labor. Most people also dont receive an education, since they cant afford it and have to work 60+ hours a week. Whereas anarcho-syndicalism failed in Catalonia Spain. The left-libertarianism also gives the employees all the power, looking at Communism and anarcho-syndicalism, employees dont always know whats best for the corporation and arent educated in management. By eliminating social classes on the large scale is also impossible. Also both capitalism and socialism have traits that are inherently authoritarian and both ideologies always fail once you remove one from another. explain, if you say no. Since capitalism and socialism both have traits that are inherently authoritarian. You can't give the employer or employee all the power and assume something good will come out of it.

  • Why is it OK with cons when O'Reilly continually lies about his accomplishments but others who do the same should be punished?

He's lied repeatedly over the years about his accomplishments: For one example, he claimed to win two Peabody Awards: http://www.newscorpse.com/ncWP/?p=959 And here's a clip (start at 2:37) of Bill O'Reilly saying how badly he was wanted by pro-football leagues by "leading the nation in punting" and for being... show more

This despite his college not having a football team. Also, he's so awesome the Mets wanted him as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDFzLm8I...

All of these nations actually care about the welfare of their citizens and take care of them via nationalized healthcare and other social programs. They also invest heavily in education as shown by their literacy rates. Why do conservatives say that socialist policies don't work when all of the countries ranked ahead of us are proving it does? Speaker Boehner has said that he won’t put a “clean” spending bill, one that does not include the delay or defunding of Obamacare, before Congress, because he knows that the votes are not there. The President and other sources say that at least 20 Republican members of Congress have said that they would support such a measure to end the government shutdown. I wonder if Boehner thinks that the votes are not there and what would be the point of having Congress vote on a measure that has no point of ever passing, thereby wasting the precious time of Congress and taxpayers money. I mean wouldn’t that be crazy? It would be like putting a bill in front of Congress 43 times without any hope of it passing each and every time, and wasting time and taxpayer money. So Boehner justifies his 43 attempts to get rid of Obamacare but won’t allow this vote to end the government shutdown because he knows it won’t pass? Is anyone else having a hard time following this man’s logic?
