• Fireball just keeps racking up the sin, doesn't she?

Fireball had this to say of her second husband, almost as though she was proud of it: "U FORGOT he left another woman for me...she was too boring for him." But when I said (correctly) that she broke up someone's marriage, she had this to say: "HE WAS BORED OF HER LONG BEFORE HE MET ME." So to recap, she divorced a guy who... show more

So to recap, she divorced a guy who couldn't get it up, started committing adultery with a married man, who then got divorced in order to marry her. How many sins is she going to rack up?

  • How can the USA be so immoral, yet have churches on almost every other street corner?

The conclusion I come up with is that the vast majority of people who call themselves Christians are not.

Well as the Fathers and Popes have siaid, first you must know what genre Genesis is...but more than that...the Church FORBIDS anyone to say it must be this way or that...It is not a matter of Faith Augustine answered this 1000 years ago Augustine creates a fixed principle of Biblical exegesis. It is possible, he says, to see many truths in the revealed text, but it is not possible to assert exactly which one the sacred author had in mind. The Holy Spirit leads us into all truth, and obviously knows every aspect of the truth contained in the text. Therefore, even after the most rigorous textual analysis, one reader sees one meaning while another reader captures a different meaning. But no reader, however great his expertise, can assert that: “The sacred author had my meaning in mind; he agrees with me. My interpretation is therefore the sole and definitive meaning of the text.”

  • How could Jesus have been a Jew if He believed he was the messiah?

Jews didn't believe he was the messiah. A Jew, by definition, would have to reject the claim that Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus believed Himself to be the Son of God

  • How does science prove God isn't real if God made science?

Science is figuring out what things are, what they're made of, etc. but God made all of these things that science is trying to figure out. So, why do non-believers say that science proves He's not real?

Only Christianity gave birth to science and there are many books that document this, but the grand points are these : THE PRESERVATION OF LITERACY IN THE DARK AGES Because it is a literary religion based on sacred texts and informed by the writings of the early church fathers, Christianity was exclusively responsible for the preservation of literacy and learning after the fall of the Western Empire. This meant not only that the Latin classics were preserved but also that their were sufficient men of learning to take Greek thought forward when it was rediscovered. DOCTRINE OF THE LAWFULNESS OF NATURE As they believed in a law abiding creator God, even before the rediscovery of Greek thought, twelfth century Christians felt they could investigate the natural world for secondary causes rather than put everything down to fate (like the ancients) or the will of Allah (like Moslems). NEED TO EXAMINE THE REAL WORLD RATHER THAN RELY ON PURE REASON Christians insisted that God could have created the world any way he like and so Aristotle's insistence that the world was the way it was because it had to be was successfully challenged. This meant that his ideas started to be tested and abandoned if they did not measure up. SCIENCE AS A SACRED DUTY features again and again in scientific writing. The early modern scientists were inspired by their faith to make their discoveries and saw studying the creation of God as a form of worship.

  • Is Catholicism the only form of religion that views women as spiritual beings?

As in the ideals of the Virgin Mary, Saint Rose, etc. It seems like other religions, and even other derivatives of Christianity, view women as inferior, incomplete human beings who are meant to serve men. Thoughts?

You suffered from your own countrymen the very things they suffered from the Jews, 15who killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and drove us out as well. They are displeasing to God and hostile to all men, Paul just Said that Jews killed GOD Almighty and said they are displeasing to GOD. I thought GOD Was offering His Blood for them yet Paul accuse them for killing God almighty I am confused Ok and whats the problem? GOD Wanted to die in order to gain the ability to forgive us right? So Jews should be praised for helping God get killed. Not be blamed for killing God almighty. So It was his flesh who died not God that means this is not enough to forgive sins. since his human nature is the one who died. and this Contradicts the bible verse ◄ Psalm 49:7 ► No one can redeem the life of another or give to God a ransom for them-- Any way thats beside the point Jesus wanted to die correct? then why was paul angry at the jews for killing jesus?
