• Protestants, how would you have handled the expansion of the Christian world differently than Catholics did?

What would Protestants have done differently? Would you have done what Protestant Quakers did to the Native Americans? Kill most of them, criminalize every aspect of their religions, and force them onto reservations? Or would you have been completely benevolent and never left the borders of Judea? Is Manifest Destiny a product of Sola Scriptura?

  • Isn't it just sad that the modern world puts so much of an emphasis on what makes you happy?

The modern world preaches, "do what makes you happy". This is the complete opposite of the teachings of Christ and His Church. The real emphasis should be, "do what makes you holy". • Fireball just keeps racking up the sin, doesn't she?

Fireball had this to say of her second husband, almost as though she was proud of it: "U FORGOT he left another woman for me...she was too boring for him." But when I said (correctly) that she broke up someone's marriage, she had this to say: "HE WAS BORED OF HER LONG BEFORE HE MET ME." So to recap, she divorced a guy who... show more

It is possible, he says, to see many truths in the revealed text, but it is not possible to assert exactly which one the sacred author had in mind. The Holy Spirit leads us into all truth, and obviously knows every aspect of the truth contained in the text. Therefore, even after the most rigorous textual analysis, one reader sees one meaning while another reader captures a different meaning. But no reader, however great his expertise, can assert that: “The sacred author had my meaning in mind; he agrees with me. My interpretation is therefore the sole and definitive meaning of the text.”

Jews didn't believe he was the messiah. A Jew, by definition, would have to reject the claim that Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus believed Himself to be the Son of God

Science is figuring out what things are, what they're made of, etc. but God made all of these things that science is trying to figure out. So, why do non-believers say that science proves He's not real?
