  • Can I wear a normal tie with a turndown collar?

Hey guys, just want to know if a normal tie can be worn with a turn down collar. Now I know that if it were to be done, the tie knot would have to be small/thin, and I am also aware that turndown collars are usually associated with bow ties. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • How do you sit in a grape costume?

I'm being a grape for halloween, making my own costume by buying balloons and safety pinning them on. I think it would be weird not having balloons all over, but if i sit down, they might pop.

It's our money that is going to be spent on these things and I think that we..WE the voting taxpayers should be allowed to make those kinds of decisions through a special election of all of our citizens. and not leave (trust) these extreme matters to a few people. Even though we picked them to be in the congress, etc...some questions hit a little "too close to home" to just sit and watch the few make these kinds of decisions...and then what...if your congressman/woman didn't vote your way, you elect someone else, etc...meanwhile - we are still stuck with the decision that was made (and usually don't have the chance to vote & say we don't want it (anymore)). I'm not saying do away with the congress & house of reps or how we vote or anything like that...I am saying that in special situations (particularly where there is a chance that the taxpayer will be footing a large bill for years to come) there should be a special election. And -- please I am all for emailing/faxing/calling your representative/congressperson, but you know even their entire staff will not read/hear all of those messages (there's not enough time in the day), but I am talking about why don't we have more of a say. Am I wrong?...I am open to all points of view - but no candidate bashing - please, that's not what this is about.

It's a very sticky situation and we have been together for 3 years... so it would be hard to just break it off. He also would have no place to go.

Anyone who has ever dressed a child will love this one! Did you hear about the school teacher who was helping one of her kindergarten students put on his snow boots? He asked for help and she could see why. Even with her pulling and him pushing, the little boots still didn't want to go on. By the time they got the second boot on, she had worked up a sweat. She almost cried when the little boy said, "Teacher,They're on the wrong feet." She looked, and sure enough, They were. It wasn't any easier pulling the boots off than it was putting them on. She managed to keep her cool as together they worked to get the boots back on, this time on the right feet. He then announced, "These aren't my boots." She bit her tongue, rather than get right in his face and scream, "Why didn't you say so?", like she wanted to. Once again, she struggled to help him pull the ill-fitting boots off his little feet. No sooner had they gotten the boots off when he said, "They're my brother's boots. My Mom made me wear 'em." Now she didn't know if she should laugh or cry. But, she mustered up what grace and courage she had left to wrestle the boots on his feet again. Helping him into his coat, she asked, Now, where are your mittens?" He said, "I stuffed 'em in the toes of my boots" She will be eligible for parole in three years.
