In early February, 1942, 91000 Germans were captured at the battle of Stalingrad. I know that Germany had censorship and wanted to keep home front support, so how would they have notified the German people. I don't mean 'how' by the term radio, i know that, but i mean in what 'aura' and 'light' would they have portrayed the fail? Would they have said fewer men were captured? Or that the battle wasn't a significant one? or.....?
Plus, i read somewhere that the people weren't told of the failure of the battle until a few days later, is that true and does anyone know when
THANKS! oops, i meant February 1943
