My daughter is in the fourth grade and she is doing satisfactorily in school as she always has. In fact there were a few times was placed in gifted class. All of her teachers complain that she is way too quiet in class. They say she doesn't socialize with other kids at all and that she almost mute. Sometimes doesn't hand in homework or follow instructions well compared to the other kids. But other than that she is a smart, normal kid. There's absolutely nothing wrong with her. Her teacher told me that they want to transfer her to special education class due to her exteme quietness. But I am so sure there's absolutely nothing wrong with her mind. She can keep up in school very well and has no problems. Are they just negatively looking down on her due to her quietness?

Big brother has this need to show him what boys do. I am at wits end. I am in the US, yes I am watching his bms and no he isnt constipated. Yes he will sit on the toilet but will only pee. Also...I am not putting him back in diapers/pullups. Why was that even suggested? I don't want him to regress. His dr knows but she is new and only could suggest a therapist, which he has.

The idea is for some very basic childrens books that I can use here in China to teach English. Im a primary school teacher in Australia, but frankly I have completely forgotten my favourite books from when I was a substitute teacher in the very low grades. My students in China are 5-11 years old. The grammar content is ESL/TESOL level... basic stuff. Numbers, colours, I like, this is, that is, going, coming, being, big/small, prepositions, and so on. I have chosen some very classic books such as The Hungry Caterpillar, and a few Dr Seuss ones for phonics study. Really though, I need a lot more. The best would be the kind that have very stimulating pictures and limited but repetitive text. I don't have access to any bookshops with high-quality books here, so I am relying upon your help to make a list that I can hunt for when I return to Australia for Christmas. Thanks so much everybody.

I have just graduated from University with a Bachelors degree with Honors at 2:1 in Game Art and Design, and now I'm ready to knock the doors of potential employees. My personal journey has been a little different from the average joe, having worked my way up from being homeless and uneducated and having had very rocky past. I started by painting shop signs and drawing band album artwork and went on to forming my own small freelance business and teaching myself the skills I needed to be accepted into university, where I feel I proved myself academically, and have now maintained a roof over my head for the last 6 years and earned myself a much better standard of living. I don't want special favors or to force my sob story, but I do want potential employers to know how determined I am and how hard I've worked to get where I am today. I am unsure as to how to do this in something as formal and stoic as a typical CV. The games industry tends to be more open to individuality and informal ways of working, which makes me think perhaps I stand a chance of someone appreciating my journey, but I am also fearful it may put people off hiring me due to an unappealing past. Any advice would be great :) Thank you for your time

I love Illinois. The crime. The rude people. And it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL here. The flat landscape and looking out my window to see a brick wall. Home sweet home!
