I just feel like... How can you follow a religion that doesn't teach you to do things from within yourself, but that you have 2 people (Jesus[?]God[?]) that will help you and do it all for you. It subliminally is teaching you to be co-dependent and your essentially living for someone else, not yourself.
I really don't understand the concept of doing that. Dedicating your whole life following someone else and never realizing your own identity, just the one that's told you have to be. It doesn't teach you anything, but to be a mindless drone, and each and every last one of your thoughts is explicitly limited to a single book that you must NEVER question. WHY?
I really cannot help but feel like the underlying basis of every Christians faith is that they are scared of eternal damnation, which is genius, I guess? What not a better way to get people to join something than to scare them.
So, yeah. From my understanding, being a good Christian, essentially, all you have to do is believe and create your facade until you're delusional enough to believe that's all their is to you. Is that it?
