  • Do either CC Sabathia or Joe Mauer have a shot at making the Baseball Hall of Fame?

Best answer: i would say CC first over Mauer, but neither on their first ballots. CC doesn't have a great ERA, but is only 14 strikeouts away from 3,000 in his career, which is comparable to 3,000 hit club. he also is a Cy Young winner and won the WS in 2009. only 16 pitchers all time have over 3,000 strikeouts, and CC is next on that list. ... show more

Best answer: this is something you should discuss within your family, close friends, or even a teacher or counselor at school. since you're 15, you also may need a workers permit to work in any store like retail, grocery, movie theater, etc. when you apply, it will say if you need to be a certain age for some jobs. a job isn't much. and it's not like you're there to socialize and gossip either. you're there to do work. which like you say, may make it easier for you to go forward. you may need to learn to make small talk - weather, sports, movies, pop culture, etc. but that depends on your job, if you interact with customers, or end up talking with co-workers on breaks, etc. sometimes getting out of your comfort zone a little can help you too. which is also where getting a job will come in handy. you can also look to your school for help in getting a job. sometimes they host job fairs, where companies local and national come from all over to your location for students to apply. again, ask a counselor or teacher if such happens. that way the jobs come to you and you don't have to drive around town applying. but, most companies have websites now too where you can just apply online. some think it's better to apply in person or hand in an application to the hiring manager, but i've received interviews from just online applications too. so do what you're comfortable with. then mix it up if needed.
